What if your best reasons to doubt God prove that He exists? In an engaging and memorable way, Stealing From God shows how many atheistic arguments, instead of disproving God, reveal that He actually exists.

Amazing story and performance!
Revisado: 01-07-21
I read IT in my junior year in college and was amazed at the scope, and fantastic writing. Stephen Weber, who is a fantastic actor, gives the best performance I have ever experienced. Possibly the best audio book experience available

Historia
For 31 years, a monster terrorized the residents of Wichita, Kansas. A bloodthirsty serial killer, self-named "BTK" - for "bind them, torture them, kill them" - he slaughtered men, women, and children alike, eluding the police for decades while bragging of his grisly exploits to the media. The nation was shocked when the fiend who was finally apprehended turned out to be Dennis Rader - a friendly neighbor...a devoted husband...a helpful Boy Scout dad...the respected president of his church. Written by four award-winning crime reporters who covered the story for more than 20 years, Bind, Torture, Kill is the most intimate and complete account of the BTK nightmare

A testament to some awesome law officers
Revisado: 12-21-18
My wife sometimes gives me the spare odd look when I listen to these, but in truth I love seeing how these determined law officers work their way to the end. The narration and pacing of this book are fantastic and I learned a lot of how what the media tells us and what is truth greatly differ. The world can be a seriously scary place, but books like this make me grateful that there are those among us who will never stop in their pursuit of justice. Despite the morbid subject matter, it is an inspirational recounting of those who protect us and how they will not be stopped in their pursuit to catch these animals

Excellent, fun apocaplyse, narrated by a robot
Revisado: 01-12-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The book is great, if you are a Lovecraft fan, you will love the reality/fantasy tie in
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fear?
The initial sighting of Cthulhu. Loved all of the WTF reactions of the characters
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He overdid some of the character voices which could be entertaining at times. The majority of his narration sounded like a male Siri or a text to voice app. Almost ruined the experience
Did The Fear inspire you to do anything?
Yeah, stay away from the southern hemisphere

Finally! Please offer the others in the series
Revisado: 01-25-16
Where does Necroscope rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
top 5
What did you like best about this story?
Lumley is a great author, I have been a fan of the series for over 20 years and am glad it is finally coming to audio
What about James Langton’s performance did you like?
Very clear narration, EXCELLENT accents and voices for the different characters
If you could rename Necroscope, what would you call it?
The name is good as it is. Besides, as the vampires become a larger part of the story, the subsequent titles reflect it
Any additional comments?
When I saw that this book was available, I was very happy but wary at the same time. I loved the book but the narrator can either make or break the story. I could not be happier with James Langton's fantastic job of bringing this book to life.......When will the next book be released ;-)

Awesome stories destroyed by HORRIBLE narration
Revisado: 11-07-15
What disappointed you about Tales of Horror and Suspense?
The Narrator sounded like the stand-in for Esmerelda on Bewitched, or some self indulgent acting teacher from the 20s. Actually painful to listen to.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Couldn't say, the narration kept yanking me out of the stories
Would you be willing to try another one of Cathy Dobson’s performances?
Yes right after I sign up for a mugging
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Regret for purchasing it
Any additional comments?
My own fault. I must remember to listen to samples before buying. In the hands of another narrator this could have been a great collection
