Historia
In 1984, a doomsday vault was constructed on a remote island in the Arctic Ocean. Its purpose was to preserve Earth's genetic history in the event of a global catastrophe. Now, decades later, a second vault has been uncovered, this one resting where no one ever expected. And the problem is it's not ours. Yet even more curious than the vault itself is what lies inside. Seeds. Millions of seeds. Each with a genetic embryo untouched and perfectly preserved. Waiting.

I don’t really know what to say other than with each book I listen to the better I like the entire series. I can easily visualize the audiobook as if I were watching a movie.

A Refreshing Plot That Leaves Me Excited To Read The Next in The Series
Revisado: 04-02-24
I enjoyed this Audiobook from start to finish. I realized half way to that I had to read (or listen to) the entire series and paused my reading to purchase the complete series.
I enjoyed the fact that the author was able to write a series (at least so far as I’ve only finished Book 1) without the need to use foul language or sexual innuendo. It just isn’t necessary.
An awesome read!

My life was going just fine by most standards. I ran a successful business in a tight-knit magical community, and lived just blocks from a beautiful lake and series of hiking trails. Then Selene showed up. According to some magical code I inherit my aunt's ancient familiar; a grumpy 10-pound cat with a broken filter.

Historia
It's not easy being king. Especially when you've got an allergy to sunrise and sunset, a fire goddess for a mother-in-law, demonic adversaries, random assassins, and a basement full of insecurities to cope with. Add to that his daughter, the fire priestess/princess; a couple of lightly deranged professional magicians; a whole city full of wizards; and enough squabbling princes to resemble a kindergarten argument. It's enough to make a man want to just go home.

The first book was good, this second book even better! I’m hoping the remaining four books keep growing my interest more & more!
Revisado: 11-02-20
At almost 40 hours per each of the six books in the series, this is really something like I haven’t read in years although I’ve looked on and off all over the place trying to find something of this quality about vampires that I’d love. I’m not even a science fiction reader, in general, but when I was a little kid, aged 4 to 10 years old, I was also so excited about getting to spend Saturday night with my paternal grandmother who loved the old vampire movies on television and she made a big, special production for just the two of us out of staying up all night and watching scary vampire movies (even though my parents were very strict that she put me to bed early). We truly had a blast staying up all night watching vampire movie telethons and eating, of all things, chicken gizzards (yum!). I’ve never eaten them since them and don’t really even know what they were but she loved them so I loved them. I loved my scary weekends with my Grandmother and I have seldom found movies or books pertaining to vampires that were even almost as good as the oldies she found for our special weekend “scar-a-thins.” I really love this NightLord series of audiobooks. I wish G.G. was still with us so we could listen to this series together!!

Historia
A deputy sheriff was shot to death during a routine traffic stop on a dark country road. From what can been seen on the cruiser's video recorder of the killers, it is believed that they were a couple of Boston-based drug runners who had been on their way from Canada down to Boston. That's what brings Joe Gunther and his team to the investigation - an attempt to shut down the major drug running operation.

HORRIBLE NARRATION - Ruins entire audiobook!
Revisado: 10-07-20
I’ve enjoyed all the Archer Mayor Joe Gunther Series audiobooks so far but this narrator does a pitiful job. I’ve not looked ahead but I hope the future audiobooks are narrated by Tom Taylorson, as are most of the ones I’ve listened to so far. I’m sorry but Christopher Graybill does a HORRIBLE job of narration!

Historia
Newly elected, Jack Ryan has found that being President is not easy: domestic pitfalls await him at every turn; there's a revolution in Liberia; the Asian economy is going down the tubes; and now, in Moscow, someone may have tried to assassinate the chairman of the SVR - the former KGB - with a rocket-propelled grenade. Were the potential assassins political enemies, the Russian Mafia, or disaffected former KGB? Or is something far more dangerous at work here?

Great story...why the author felt the need for so much bigotry and stereotyping boggles the mind.
Revisado: 06-03-19
Great storyline. For the most part, really good characters and storyline but almost ruined because it seems that every possible place that bigotry and stereotyping can be inserted into the story it is. I mean it’s It’s everywhere...racist remarks, homophobia, stereotyping of the various races and lifestyles, repeated remarks that showcase socioeconomic prejudice. It’s like the author worked very hard to make sure negative connotations were realized according to race, regarding gender, stereotyping by the jobs the various characters held, by income, by social status. It’s like if there was any possible way the author could work bigotry and stereotyping into the story (a comment here or there - even just little things) he did. I’m hoping it was the intention (for some misguided reason) of the author to purposely showcase these issues within this story because if it wasn’t then I have to assume it’s how the author really feels about these issues in real life and that would really be disappointing because I’ve read several of his books and I’ve never noticed this before. I hope I don’t start noticing the issue in the remainder of his books I’ve yet to read! Granted, it is often just a single word here (through a character) or a comment there. It just got to be too much. Spic, chink, fag and on and on...AT LEAST HE DID NOT USE THE “N” WORD...well, not exactly. Maybe it’s just because of the era that the book was written in (that’s no excuse). I wish he’d re-write it leaving out all the bigoted remarks and comments involving stereotyping. It could be 5 stars, well maybe 4.5 post rewrite.

Very Good! Glad I bought this one too.
Revisado: 08-29-17
Ok, well I am still hopeful. This audiobook was really good and I am glad I bought it. I was a little worried after the last one I listened to because previous to that last one I had stated in my reviews that Patterson's books were not formulaic then the last one - not this one - did feel formulaic so I wasn't sure what to expect moving forward. I'm hoping that the remaining books will keep me as pleased as every one (except the one) has so far. By the way, I thought I had listened to them in order then realized that I had not and it really made no difference - either way works.

Well, I may have been mistaken...
Revisado: 08-29-17
In one, or more, of my reviews of James Patterson's "Private" Series I've said that one thing I like about them is they're not formulaic..."Private London" is so similar to "The Games" that I may have to eat my words. Still a very good read/listen. I guess I'll have to read/listen to a few more and see how it goes. I'm hoping this is a one time incident. I'm hoping the remaining books don't fall into the formulaic category. I'm keeping an open mind...

Suprize ending! Great Series! Gotta keep reading!
Revisado: 08-28-17
The "Private" Series has really been a pleasant departure from many of the books I've read. So many twists and turns. NOT FORMULAIC - WHICH IS BECOMING RARER THE MORE AUTHORS I READ! This is the third in the series and each one I've read so far has been so different from the other. Can't wait to read the remaining books in the series - hope my above comments hold true throughout them all. "The Games" is particularly good, but then again, I really could say that about each one. Not really necessary to read in order but I still prefer to do so.
