The Future That is an Illusion
Revisado: 10-15-22
A timely book if there ever was one. It is a book that I have purchased and will read to absorb its insight and wisdom. I predict doom for the nation and its people who ignore the warnings this book provides.

Historia
Teenage girls are taking courses of testosterone and disfiguring their bodies. Parents are undermined; experts are over-relied upon; dissenters in science and medicine are intimidated; free speech truckles under renewed attack; socialized medicine bears hidden consequences; and an intersectional era has arisen in which the desire to escape a dominant identity encourages individuals to take cover in victim groups. Every person who has ever had a skeptical thought about the sudden rush toward a non-binary future but been afraid to express it - this book is for you.

For Every Parent
Revisado: 08-25-22
Sadly, these times are changing. They are changing to the extent that we do not even know what it means to be human. We are disconnecting biology and sexuality. What was a given 50 years ago is now a mystery today. Irreversible damage provides us with some of the answers. It should be required reading for parents today.

Historia
In this eloquent and persuasive book, Neil Postman examines the deep and broad effects of television culture on the manner in which we conduct our public affairs, and how "entertainment values" have corrupted the very way we think. As politics, news, religion, education, and commerce are given less and less expression in the form of the printed word, they are rapidly being reshaped to suit the requirements of television.

A modern day prophet
Revisado: 07-27-22
I was aware of this book when it first came out. Today I am sad to say we are living its reality. I cringe when I think of the horrors that lie before us. I pray that everyone who reads this book will become like the prophets of the Old Testament and warn our nation of the dangers that lie ahead.

Historia
Harry Blamires, a noted British Christian thinker who started writing through the encouragement of C. S. Lewis, his tutor at Oxford, makes a perceptive diagnosis of some of the weaknesses besetting the church today. He argues that the distinctively Christian intellect is being swept away by secular modes of thought and secular assumptions about reality. Blamires calls for the recovery of the Christian mind and challenges “not only secularism’s assault upon personal morality and the life of the soul, but also secularism’s truncated and perverted view of the meaning of life...."

A Christian Mind
Revisado: 06-13-22
This is one of those books I will purchase and read. Sadly, I agree the body of Christ still lacks a Christian mind among many of our adherents.

Historia
This is a study of how intellectuals as a class affect modern societies by shaping the climate of opinion in which official policies develop, on issues ranging from economics to law to war and peace. You will hear a withering and clear-eyed critique about (but not for) intellectuals that explores their impact on public opinion, policy, and society at large.

The destruction of society
Revisado: 05-24-22
It seems like no group of people have done more harm to society than intellectuals. Some of them have shut the door on truth and objectivity and cost millions of people their lives. Sadly, this has not changed. We should be thankful for people like Thomas Sowell, who encourages us to not only question the contributions of intellectuals but to evalute and challenge them. We have been warned, if we are wise we will respond accordingly.

Historia
Throughout the US, the politics of race and gender in our universities are transforming admissions policies, as well as curriculums. This controversial expose attacks the wave of multicultural ideology, in one of the earliest, and most thorough, efforts to examine the rapidly eroding traditions of scholarship and reward for individual achievement.

An Objective Critique of Modern Education
Revisado: 01-22-22
I was attending a small university when many of the ideas D'Souza was addressing were being taught. However, I was fortunate to be in the company of esteemed educators who guided me through a lot of the misinformation I was being taught. Fortunately, I was taught how to think outside the university and not just what to think. I have been the better for it. Notwithstanding, a book like Illiberal Education would have been a boon to me and others if it had been published then. I hope this text becomes required reading for students entering our educational institutions. It will address the downward spiral of modern education in our private and public schools and universities.

Politics at its Worse
Revisado: 01-15-22
Insightful, one can only hope justice is still waiting for the current president and his family. This book evidences how the abnormal can become normal to those who invite immorality into their lives. It also shows those who are in positions of power and influence protecting those who abuse it.

True Faith in the Twenty-First Century
Revisado: 12-23-21
This story is unreal. If it were not true, you would be inclined not to believe it. It's a combination of evil and incompetenc. The evil is exemplified by those who hate with irrationality. Incompetence is seen in American leadership, when they refuse to protect the innocent. What is equally outrageous is the silence of Islamic nations who know these atrocities are taking place but they say nothing. A global community should demand better. One day Jesus will.
