Wonderful Book
Revisado: 02-24-25
I bought this this novel as a daily deal from Audible. Boy, what a great deal. I’ve never even heard of this author before, but I am looking forward to his next work. The story was compelling and engaging. The characters were all interesting and well developed. The only regret was that it wasn’t longer.
That’s the great thing about the Audible daily deal: you always find something interesting that you wouldn’t have thought of before.
Thanks, Audible.

Are you interested in real estate investing but there is nothing to buy that makes sense where you live? Are you tired of seeing the amazing success of others investing in markets better suited for buy and hold real estate and wish that could be you? Do you want to take advantage of wealth building opportunities but are frustrated by the fact there just isn't any way to do that until the next market crash? Real estate investing is one of the greatest vehicles to build wealth, but it doesn't make sense in every market. Some locations provide incredible returns, while others make it almost impossible to find a single property that profits. Traditionally, investing out of state has been considered risky and unwise.

I bought the author’s other book,”Brrrr”, and was completely disappointed with the juvenile approach of the book. Like he was just filling pages to get out a book. I almost just deleted this one.
I’m glad I didn’t. This book was EXCELLENT!!! Like taking a college course on RE investing. The tone was that of someone talking to adults.
Very informative: hacks,resources and examples.
This book was worth it. Wish me luck investing.

Historia
In early 1787, 12 men - a printer, a lawyer, a clergyman, and others united by their hatred of slavery - came together in a London printing shop and began a remarkable grass-roots movement, battling for the rights of people on another continent. Masterfully stoking public opinion, the movement's leaders pioneered a variety of techniques that have been adopted by citizens' movements ever since, from consumer boycotts to wall posters and lapel buttons to celebrity endorsements.

Great Eye-Opener
Revisado: 01-06-19
As an African-American I thought I understood the “heroes” and “villains” in this “racial opera” called life. But the roles are murky and variant. No “complete” heroes or villains. “ Whites are racist. Blacks are innocent prey.” That’s the narrative we’re fed from birth to death. Not so fast.
I love this book, because it reveals the truth: the lines are blurred. Some awesome Whites, selflessly risking all for the salvation of “strangers”. Some unscrupulous Blacks, selfishly selling their brothers for a pittance.
Every student should be required to “study” this book and learn “the” lesson: the worst and best resides in all of us, despite the stereotypes.

How do you make such a dry subject captivating? Mr.Winchester has found the formula. I could not stop listening to this amazing back story of a historical work. It’s true- you can’t get the whole story from the cover.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Bad Soap Opera
Revisado: 01-05-18
Where did this book get the reputation as one of the GREAT books? As melodramatic as a soap opera, this book was over the top. I love Rand's defense of individualism, but her execution was comedic.
Take the dialogue:"Damn you,Howard! Damn you to hell! Damn you straight to hell!"
Who talks like that? A soap-opera character.

When it was first published, The Conscience of a Conservative reignited the American conservative movement and made Barry Goldwater a political star. It influenced countless conservatives in the United States and helped to lay the foundation for the Reagan Revolution in 1980. Just as vital today as it was then, this book addresses many topics that could be torn from today's headlines.
