While this was necessary to evolve the story it was much slower

I honestly felt like I was zoning out through most of this which is unfortunate because i think it had a lot of potential to be more gripping while building the plot further. I really hated that wrens narration made her sound like a child even though she was older than all of the other main characters.

Unlike anything I have ever read in the absolute BEST way.

Once again, Jewel E. Ann leaves me finishing another book I have never read/listened to anything like before! 🤯 This book is romance… but it’s not the main plot. I am LIVING for the substance in these pages. Expect to uncover a story of both past and present as it unfolds each chapter. I am devastated to accept the closure of her past, but equally devastated for the potential of her not accepting her present. Consider me intoxicated with this story. I HAVE to know what happens next. 👏👏👏

Perfect Ending to this series!!

I was skeptical and a bit uninterested when I read the summary for this book, but I am SO GLAD I picked it up anyway!! I was completely sucked in and loved it so much. Having the depth and insight from the first two books made this story something so intoxicating. I am SHOCKED this author isn’t more discovered. I can’t get enough of her books! I really wish it could have been a dual cast to narrate the audio but it was still a good narration for just being a female.

This is unlike anything I have ever read.

WOAH. I have never read anything like this. I have officially decided that going into books blind is one of the most thrilling reading experiences. I HIGHLY recommend. You do not need to know what this is about in order to pick it up and devour it.

This book is TWISTY. It took me a minute to even figure out what was happening. HOW is this going to unfold?! We LOVE Griff. We NEED answers for EVERYONE involved.

This plot has me mesmerized and I can’t wait to dig into the second book to continue the story.

This is a romance, but also maybe a tiny bit of a thriller? A mystery? Kind of? I don’t even know, but it is CAPTIVATING.

There is language and sex scenes - they were fairly minimal in detailed description compared to most romance books on the market. I appreciated that. This book is plot heavy and I loved it.

I have never read anything like this before and it was INCREDIBLE.

I went into this blind and I’m so glad I did! This plot is so deep, emotional, sad, complex, and fulfilling. I wondered many times if it was going to get twisted, but it truly captures the complexity of grief and love and uncontrolled circumstances. I LOVED it so much.

OOZES CHRISTMAS CHEER AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE! Or should I say Naughty?

For a Christmas Rom Com… FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY.
I feel like it needs its own rating system because this is not the type of book you go into without the only expectations being to laugh your way into some serious Christmas Holiday CHEER. I owe any extra festiveness I have this year to this book. Also adding candy canes to my grocery delivery, asap. 🤭

This book is PURE CHRISTMAS. I loved the way MQ brought in the grinch theme in such an original way. I was worried it would be cringy and weird to connect for a romance. I was wrong. It was BRILLIANT. I loved both the Cole and Story so much. They were perfectly created and I appreciated there being depth to Cole’s character. I also loved that their intimacy didn’t feel cheap. Yes it was steamy and passionate, but I feel like MQ wrote their romance in such an emotionally intimate way.

I also felt like I was transported into a town I am so sad I don’t live in and found myself wanting to start a million new Christmas traditions just to bring some of this magic into my own life.

I saw some reviews on a fb page of people saying this is too slow to get into and it discouraged me! Those people must only be in it for the smut because this was GOLD. The beginning isn’t about romance and it’s not about the smut! It’s all about a true “enemies to lovers” duo navigating the most festive Christmas experience you can imagine. The sex chapters are definitely OPEN DOOR. For those who want to skip the sex scenes, I think that could easily be done. This is a slow burn and there are 5ish scenes all clumped in towards the last 30% of the book.

ALSO ALSO, the audiobook narration is WOW. The full cast takes the reader experience to another level. WELL DONE.
