Comprehensive
Revisado: 09-02-19
I’d read most of the books discussed in this book already long before I read this one. I assure this book is an extract of many of them and I recommend it for those who have never read the books and those who did equally.
In general, don’t start investing your money before you at least finish and comprehend this summery and better if you do the others beforehand as well.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Nice story but too wordy
Revisado: 03-29-19
The story is nice and full of magnificent meanings related freedom and dignity. But must warn you that it comes along with too much unnecessary words and paragraphs that can be cut off with maintaining the same joyful meanings.
I'd vote for making a summary book of this book

Historia
Few entrepreneurs can claim to have radically changed the way we live, and Ray Kroc is one of them. His revolutions in food-service automation, franchising, shared national training, and advertising have earned him a place beside the men and women who have founded not only businesses, but entire empires. But even more interesting than Ray Kroc the business man is Ray Kroc the man. Not your typical self-made tycoon, Kroc was 52 years old when he opened his first franchise.

Historia
On the surface, the Victorian age is one of propriety, industry, prudishness and piety. But scratch the surface and you’ll find scandal, sadism, sex, madness, malice and murder. Presented by Stephen Fry, this series delves deep into a period of time we think we know, to discover an altogether darker reality. The stories we’re told offer a different perspective on an era which underwent massive social change. As education, trade, technology and culture blossomed, why was there an undercurrent of the ‘forbidden’ festering beneath Victorian society?

Liked the factual stories within but really got annoyed by the excessive background music.
However, you’ll enjoy it anyway

Historia
Millions of people visit xkcd.com each week to read Randall Munroe's iconic webcomic. His stick-figure drawings about science, technology, language, and love have a large and passionate following. Fans of xkcd ask Munroe a lot of strange questions. What if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90 percent of the speed of light? How fast can you hit a speed bump while driving and live? If there were a robot apocalypse, how long would humanity last?

Funny scientific demo and little geeky
Revisado: 01-03-18
The book is scientifically funny, demonstrated extreme scientific facts in a very funny way. It’s a little geeky, but up to some extend it is for everyone.
Some facts look interesting for experimenting, but may with with the future technologies.

Historia
Whether you are seeing a doctor, a nutritionist, or a trainer, all of them advise eating more protein. Foods, drinks, and supplements are loaded with extra protein. Many people use protein for weight control while others believe it gives them more energy. Now, weight loss expert Dr. Garth Davis asks, "Is all this protein making us healthier?" The answer, he emphatically argues, is no.

Obviously biased
Revisado: 12-06-17
The author was convincing about protein but he overstated the point and he did not state how we should use animal products. In fact he’s against animals products not against protein so the book should’ve be the renamed to animalholic.
The book is convincing to balance between the animal products and plants products, and protein and fibers.

The text read in this audiobook is the original 1937 edition written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie - and while it has often been reproduced, no updated version has ever been able to compete with the original.

Acclaimed conservative historian Larry Schweikart now takes an in-depth look at seven such episodes and reveals the profound ways they have shaped America.

Totally Misleading Book Title

I have no idea why the author thinks this title is appropriate to the content. I believe the author has good points to tell, but definitely unrelated to why America became America. Yes of course I regretted buying & spent time on this book.

Historia
Maverick thinker Nassim Nicholas Taleb had an illustrious career on Wall Street before turning his focus to his black swan theory. Not all swans are white, and not all events, no matter what the experts think, are predictable. Taleb shows that black swans, like 9/11, cannot be foreseen and have an immeasurable impact on the world.

Useful concept but lots of redundant drama
Revisado: 01-25-16
The book no doubts introduces very crucial and important information, the type that you need to well comprehend before you enter the trading words and count on analysts and forecasters.
Yet, the concept is basically simple and short. I do believe this book can take more than 3-5 pages at most. I believe that the author introduced the concept in short words then spent 95% of the book to convince the audience.
i believe if you have read the first couple of chapters and understood the concept then you can safely skip the rest of the book, don't hesitate.
