Historia
No one loves musicals more than Riley Morris—her dream is to be a Broadway director. But when the spring show is canceled, Riley has to figure out a way to bring it back. Easier said than done—she’s stuck working at her dad’s game store. The place that means more to him than his family does. Riley can't waste time at a dead-end job when her entire future is resting on making a name for herself. So she convinces her co-worker Nathan Wheeler—the floppy-haired, glasses-wearing guy she barely knows from school—to help her. In exchange, she’ll help him make his gamer-girl crush jealous.

Cute fun YA read - good characters
Revisado: 02-28-25
I thought this book was a fun cute little read (listen).
The plot is pretty obvious, but is still a good story. It has good characters, and it’s ultimately about friendship and the things that bring us together… like musical theater or D&D, for example :)

Lots of fun
Revisado: 02-11-25
This is a fun and creatively told narrative about a lower level scout named Damon. Though a a twist of fate he ends up getting bonded with a mildly insane (cake obsessed) mimic.
They join forces and powers to save an enslaved elf, and get up to all sorts of chaotic misadventures (and mischief in the mimic’s case) along the way.
I was initially a bit thrown off by the switch between the narrator and the guy voicing the mimic (he does a good job). However, I got used to the switch quickly and it didn’t bother me.
Fun characters, interesting plot, good development… very entertaining! Definitely worth a listen.

Historia
In the days of yore, he flew the skies and scorched angry mobs - now he hides from swamp tour boats and rises only with the greatest reluctance from his La-Z-Boy recliner. Laying low in the bayou, this once-magnificent fire breather has been reduced to lighting Marlboros with nose sparks, swilling Absolut in a Flashdance T-shirt, and binging Netflix in a fishing shack. For centuries, he struck fear in hearts far and wide as Wyvern, Lord Highfire of the Highfire Eyrie - now he goes by Vern.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 01-19-25
The narrator did a good job, and the characters were generally compelling. Parts of the book were enjoyable, but this definitely wasn’t the fun romp I was expecting when I picked it up. Has a sadder and darker side.

Historia
Luc O'Donnell is tangentially - and reluctantly - famous. His rock-star parents split when he was young, and the father he's never met spent the next 20 years cruising in and out of rehab. Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

Historia
Feisty, passionate Beatrice Steele has never fit the definition of a true lady, according to the strict code of conduct that reigns in Swampshire, her small English township—she is terrible at needlework, has absolutely no musical ability, and her artwork is so bad it frightens people. Nevertheless, she lives a perfectly agreeable life with her marriage-scheming mother, prankster father, and two younger sisters— beautiful Louisa and forgettable Mary. But she harbors a dark secret: She is obsessed with the true crime cases she reads about in the newspaper.

Revisado: 01-19-25
I enjoyed listening to this book. It definitely has an Austen-ish vibe, but for a murder mystery.
There were some fun twists in the plot. The characters and storyline were all generally entertaining, and the narrator did a good job.

Fun and spicy
Revisado: 01-19-25
I think the storyline and the characters are entertaining. There are occasional small plot holes, and I do think that the author could have trimmed some of the redundant bits. However, generally it was a fun listen. I really enjoyed the work of the guy who reads the books.

Carter isn't sure what to call his two alien protectors. Friends? Boyfriends? Mates? Or merely indiscriminate lovers with sexy purrs and tangling tails? He would be lost without them, he knows that. When their home is invaded by a dangerous new kind of alien slaver, they strike out into the jungle. He depends on them for food, protection, a direction to walk in. He's helpless even for shelter and warmth. Thankfully, his alien lovers seem devoted, but why?

Entertaining and spicy
Revisado: 01-19-25
I enjoyed the characters and story line generally. It’s definitely entertaining and the guy who reads it does an excellent job. I do think there’s a bit of repetition in the narrative, but it’s still a fun story. Especially worth a try because the whole series is currently available as “included with membership” so you don’t lose any credits if you don’t like it.

It's all a matter of opinion, but Carter's day is going pretty badly. He's an engineer captured by bug aliens, now depending on his large, muscled, naked cage mates for food and warmth. They seem sentient, so that's good. But they're also handsy. Which is...complicated. The military isn't looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he'll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

Enjoyable and spicy
Revisado: 01-19-25
Generally I liked the book. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was entertaining. I liked that the book had spicy moments, but they worked within the narrative. They also seem to be pretty careful about consent which is great.
A few things that weren’t my favorite - The main human character, Carter, spends a lot of time throughout the series complaining about being treated like a princess or being seen as girly. I get that he’s supposed to be a tough guy, but especially for an “advanced” society it seems like he really harps on about it… he does say his family is old school or conservative or whatever... It just gets a bit redundant. I did also feel like there was a fair amount of redundancy in the series generally, but it didn’t ruin it. The narrator does a good job, and overall it’s very entertaining, especially since it’s included with membership, so I didn’t have to paid for any of the 3 books in the series.
