The man in the gray flannel suit
Revisado: 05-19-20
As a man born in 1940 now retired after 40 years in straight commission sales after serving 7 years in the military this book really hit home. What a greaty greatly written book and very well narrated. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Kenneth

Historia
The story of Tzu Hsi is the story of the last empress in China. In this audiobook, Pearl S. Buck recreates the life of one of the most intriguing rules during a time of intense turbulence. Tzu Hsi was born into one of the lowly ranks of the Imperial dynasty. According to custom, she moved to the Forbidden City at the age of 17 to become one of hundreds of concubines. But her singular beauty and powers of manipulation quickly moved her into the position of Second Consort.

The book was fantastic as was the narration. I always enjoy books by Pearl Buck of which I have read many. I enjoy learning about Asian culture and history. I feel this book is based on truth even though it is fiction. Oh how history repeats itself.

Narration by Nancy Wu was excellent. First Audio book I have read. Author Ibrahim did a great job. I was a little disappointed about the murder at the end being rewarded.
