Great narration of a fully present set of characters
Revisado: 03-28-16
Sciucco paints Daisy's world with deft, well-chosen details, and I was drawn in to the drama of the short story's central conflict.
Eibhlin reads the story beautifully, effortlessly switching between the child and adult voices, always tightly connected to the emotional import of the scenes she's narrating.
I look forward to more from both this author and this narrator!

Superb dual narrators
Revisado: 09-13-15
Sands & Rubinate are excellent on their own, but hearing them together as the voices of Higgins's compelling sisters is a major treat.
The story kept me up late and left me with that good "I'm all out of tears- both happy and sad ones- post-book coma" feeling.

Historia
Bono met his wife in high school, Park says. So did Jerry Lee Lewis, Eleanor answers. I’m not kidding, he says. You should be, she says, we’re 16. What about Romeo and Juliet? Shallow, confused, then dead. I love you, Park says. Wherefore art thou, Eleanor answers. I’m not kidding, he says. You should be. Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits - smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love.

The Best of Everything
Revisado: 08-28-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Eleanor & Park to be better than the print version?
Tough question, as the book is so brilliant - after listening, I bought the print version, because I needed to own both.
What did you like best about this story?
The amazing attention to the details of Eleanor's & Park's interior lives.
Have you listened to any of Rebecca Lowman and Sunil Malhotra ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes for Lowman, and this was stellar on her part - she was fully immersed in the character. Malhotra was new for me so I can't compare.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
About a billion of them.
Any additional comments?
I push this book on everyone, and they're all glad I do.

Historia
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.
