Historia
Clarity came on the colony planet Astrild after teaming with an enigmatic colleague named Edgar Millen. Their agency employer works to influence colony planets to eventually join the Federation, the largest human political entity. But there are opponents: individuals, parties, criminal enterprises, and competing interstellar dominions. Astrild lacked the planetary government needed for development in preparation for Federation membership. Although the agency used various strategies, Cole and Millen were tasked with removing obstacles hindering that development.

It is drawn out with too much - we have no leads for chapter after chapter and just feels like a rough draft.

Historia
“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

My stomach hurts, I’m halfway through and I’m an emotional basket case.
Revisado: 05-23-24
Fantastic narrator of course. Stephen King was ahead of his time when it came to audiobooks. When other authors had monotone narrations Stephen King saw audiobooks as another art form and had narrators that were top shelf. It is really unbelievable that Stephen King can write so much material and each and every release is amazing. These stories are so good that I feel like a wreck after listening to one. I need to take a break and listen to something like we are Bob that doesn’t trigger me emotionally before circling back to this collection. Strongly recommend

Best king podcast -
Revisado: 05-12-24
This is the first episode that I have listened too and I thought they did a great job. I just read the Long Walk and they revealed some things that I missed and they just did a great job. The other king podcast is disappointing because it is like they spend the entire time trying to reveal Stephen King mistakes or misses and that isn’t why I listen. It is like hearing a lecture on Dante and the professor spending the entire time looking for mistakes instead of digging into the greatest poem ever written. King is a master writer and I want to hear new insights not gotchas where you found an editing error.

Historia
When former soldier Everett Cole signed on to help colony planets prepare for joining the Federation, his employers were disconcertingly vague about their identity and his duties. Yet, the pay was good, and it got him off Earth and on the way to a fresh start. More reservations arose when, 11 light-years from Earth, he met his partner, Edgar Millen, an enigmatic man with a penchant for violent solutions and a fetish for the mythology and language of the American Wild West.

A good story is now with the rewrite fantastic.
Revisado: 04-30-24
I enjoyed the first release and was skeptical of the need for a rewrite but I was wrong. The new story has so much better character development and the story has a quirky flavor to it now that I am a fan of the decision to rewrite. The previous narrator was better but the new narrator isn’t bad by any means. He grows on you.

Historia
It’s the summer of ’77 in New York City, and the only thing more unnerving than the scorching heatwave is the rampant murder, leaving washed-up homicide detective Richard Dietrich on edge. When Dietrich investigates a brutal mob hit the brass doesn’t want him to solve, he goes from phoning it in to getting in over his head. Caught up in a mysterious second homicide with an even more perplexing perpetrator, Dietrich starts to second guess his instincts—and his memory—as he searches for answers at the bottom of a bottle.

Unique plot . unputdownable , classic.
Revisado: 12-26-23
This author was one of the first famous sci fi writers that wrote some classics. His early work is brilliant but his later work is atrocious. Rumor is that he indulged in the 60s free love , drug culture and it wiped out his writing talent. Status civilization, deninsions was written and published before Hitchhikers Guide to Universe but has very similar plot and themes. This is one of his good books but status civilization and Demimsions are his best works and 10th victim.
