If you like a fun slow paced story with fairy tale twists this is the book series for you. I've been working on it for four months and I loved every second of it. Some places are slow but the world building and character interactions during those slow moments make it worth it. It has a beautiful and fun romance as well. I think my favorite part about the story would have to be how well written the main female character is. Sabel reads as a person, not just a blank canvas for a reader to project onto. I loved it!!

Kinda dragged towards the middle but picked right back up with a badass fight at the end. Great world building as always!

worth the hype

The book is good and the narrator isn't bad. The pacing made it interesting enough to get through some of the more tedious parts of the book. Only annoying part is the MC is a little bit of a Mary-sue who has a habit of complaining all the time. At the same time though she does have a LITTLE character growth that can be seen espically in the next book. The dragons are interesting and I enjoy the dynamic in their own society. Over all, pretty good.

Read the book once before. It’s nice to recognize some of the Sac (Thawkî) morning names that are still used to this day.
However do think it would been a good thing for reader to contact one of the Sac and Fox tribes to learn how to pronounce the names of the people and tribes correctly.
Overall it’s a good look into history of my people.

A good read.

I have read the many years back loved it then and love it still.
It is nice to hear something written about my people, the Shawnee, Potawatomi, Sac and Fox and Kickapoo.
Well written, well performed. Could have used some guidance on the pronunciation of the names but overall it was great.

Tugs at the heart strings.

I have watched the movie and liked it.
As always the book is so much better.
The story always reminds me of my youngest son and his relationship with my mom and dad.
My mom has past so now it’s just a boy and his grandpa.
The story has always reminded of stories that my folks have told me of their growing up.
I enjoyed the performance I felt it was spot on.
It just a great story.

Riveting

I had this picked this book a while back and having read previous books by the authors I knew it would be good.
I was sadly mistaken, it was friggin awesome. It was so good that I ignored my lovely wife for 2 days.
The presentation was great. The story was awesome.
Sent the book to my wife so can enjoy also.
