Historia
In 2021 cryptocurrency went mainstream. Giant investment funds were buying it, celebrities like Tom Brady endorsed it, and TV ads hailed it as the future of money. Hardly anyone knew how it worked—but why bother with the particulars when everyone was making a fortune from Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, or some other bizarrely named “digital asset”? As he observed this frenzy, investigative reporter Zeke Faux had a nagging question: Was it all just a confidence game of epic proportions? What started as curiosity—with a dash of FOMO—would morph into a two-year globe-spanning quest.

Revisado: 09-04-23
dear Neda, thank you for your incredible bravery. audiobooks from Iranian writers are rare. to have them narrated by the author is a gem. I love the way you say khale, ame, etc.
Iranian stories and books resonate with my heart in a way I can't describe. I think you did an incredible job with this story given how complex and incredibly emotional it was. my take away was: don't mess with dictators, don't get involved with politics, and always speak your truth.
thank you so much for sharing your honest story. I fully appreciate how difficult it was in the context of our codependent and secretive culture.

Historia
Rumi's inspiring and deceptively simple poems have been called ecstatic, mystical, and devotional. To writer and activist Melody Moezzi, they became a lifeline. In The Rumi Prescription, we follow her path of discovery as she translates Rumi's works for herself - to gain wisdom and insight in the face of a creative and spiritual roadblock. With the help of her father, who is a lifelong fan of Rumi's poetry, she immerses herself in this rich body of work, and discovers a 13th-century prescription for modern life.

if you're Iranian, just read! tears and laughs
Revisado: 06-01-23
Dear Melody,
this book lifted my mood on the days when I wanted to run away from the world and my thoughts. your book was a refuge for sanity and my protector during dark moods.
you have no idea how many times I cried as I listened to your book and sympathized how it feels to be an Iranian in the West. A confused soul with a tenuous link to a rich and beautiful culture. sometimes I feel like I'm neither here nor there.
Thank you x999 for not deleting all the Persian words, the imitations of Ahmad, and the original Farsi words. Those references were like a warm soft blanket around me.
The Persian accent of the narrator was incredible. So well done. thank you for keeping it in!!
I'm so incredibly proud the journey you and Matthew have endured. He seems like an angel.
I wish you had more books. Thank you for sharing this! you are a true sheer zan!! you are an amazing author. I've read probably 300 titles and I connected so deeply with this book. probably up there with "my dear uncle Napoleon" wishing you immense joy and success.

Historia
From Andre Agassi, one of the most beloved athletes in history and one of the most gifted men ever to step onto a tennis court, a beautiful, haunting autobiography. Agassi brings a near-photographic memory to every pivotal match and every relationship. Never before has the inner game of tennis and the outer game of fame been so precisely limned. In clear, taut prose, Agassi evokes his loyal brother, his wise coach, his gentle trainer, all the people who help him regain his balance and find love at last with Stefanie Graf.

Revisado: 08-06-22
it was a bit long. I wished all the detailed match stuff was eliminated and 5-10 matches were described in detail with accompanying video
it was an amazing story though
I learnt two important things:
1.education is incredibly valuable - I will work to provide it to those less privileged
2. the mind game is paramount. we all need therapy, journaling and taking care of our mental health.
I'm sure Andre is mentally better, but I wish he or those around him got him proper therapy earlier. I hate his dad.
thank you for not giving up Andre

Historia
As an 18-year-old, black, broke, lonely, insecure, university drop-out, from a bankrupt family, I wrote in my diary that I wanted to be a 'Happy Sexy Millionaire' by the age of 25. By 25 I was a multi-millionaire having created a business worth over $300m dollars. Ironically, in achieving everything I set out to, I learnt that I was wrong about almost everything... The world had lied to me. It lied to me about how you attain fulfilment, love and success, why those things matter, and what those words actually mean.

100 self help books on one- don't think twice
Revisado: 07-10-22
I, like you, am here to learn and grow.
I'm probably listened to 100+ self help books and atleast 20 phycology books. if you want the 2021 summary of the latest with passion and authenticity, read this book.
Steve also has an amazing mind blowing podcast- listen to it today!
I found his book because I was blown away by how authentic he was on his podcast, that's it.
summary in one sentence: you need to learn, grow, journal, and get therapy to get ahead of your unconscious programming that drive us all to do dumb things.
some may criticize that is not scientific or too "off the cuff", but why do you care when is all factual and based in his experience. I've learnt science is not king, experience is.
Steven, thank you!!!

Historia
Set in a garden in Tehran in the early 1940s, where three families live under the tyranny of a paranoid patriarch, My Uncle Napoleon is a rich, comic and brilliantly on-target send-up of Iranian society. The novel is, at its core, a love story. But the young narrator's delicate and pure love for his cousin Layli is constantly jeopardized by an unforgettable cast of family members and the hilarious mayhem of their intrigues and machinations. It is also a social satire, a lampooning of the widespread Iranian belief that foreigners are responsible for events that occurs in Iran.

you want to know Iran? this this
Revisado: 05-13-22
as an Iranian, I can confirm this book illustrates and confirms or intergenerational trauma as it relates to outside meddling. it's easier to blame than think. how unfortunate.
this book is an absolute masterpiece. I've never laughed so much with an audiobook
only drawback: the translation for most common phrases is horrible. you'll get the point though. I don't have a better suggestion though.
