Historia
This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

Cute Romcom!
Revisado: 04-26-25
Short but very cute romcom! I enjoyed the chemistry between Marigold and Robbie! It had me smiling and laughing out loud throughout the book. I enjoyed it!

It was good.
Revisado: 03-31-25
The story was frustrating at times but overall enjoyable. I really did not like Elketh. She is bratty, spoiled and selfish. I felt her growth came too late. I really liked Ruga and thought she deserved better. I liked the narrator and thought she did well.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Loved this Romantasy!
Revisado: 03-29-25
Although the book started out a little slow for me personally, it did eventually pick up the pace and I didn’t want to put it down. There were times I was a little annoyed with the FMC, Saeris. She wasn’t my absolute favorite character but I did really love Kingfisher.
The cliffhanger has me anxiously awaiting the second book.
I really enjoyed the audiobook. Loved the duel narration in each chapter! Well done!

Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Emotional Roller Coaster
Revisado: 01-13-25
Honestly, I don't even know how to rate this book or how ! want to go about writing this review. I would say this has been my most difficult to rate.
I marked that there are spoilers in my review because I'm not sure if I will necessarily give the spoilers, but I wanted those to be prepared if they read my review.
This is my first book l've ever read by Rebecca Yarros. I went into her book blind. I've heard so many recommend it. After starting the first chapter, I heard someone say they gave five stars to this book but wish they never read it. I now can see why she said that.
This book truly took me on a roller coaster ride with my emotions. I came close to DNF-ing the book as I typically don't read any cancer patient books.
I do highly wish there would have been trigger warnings at the beginning of the book letting it be known there is tragedies such as a child battling cancer and child loss.
Although, there are so many heavy subjects in this book. I do feel the author wrote on it well. Even though it pulled on my heartstrings and left me slightly angry, it was not all sad and devastating. There were happy moments and cheerful moments and hopeful moments. The book is about family, love, loss, responsibility, accountability, falling in love, heartache, grief, sadness, and hope. It was a book I couldn't put down despite it all.
The conflicting part of the book that left me slightly angry and my heart hurting was the ending. I know it's just a book but after the hurt, heartache, trials and tribulations that the
characters had to endure, the ending just broke my heart. I balled my eyes out the last couple chapters. I was hoping they would have a happy ending but boy was I wrong. I couldn't believe the ending. It wasn't the twist I thought was coming.

I loved the pace of the book and how it kept me wanting to read more. Just when you think you have it solved Frieda McFadden makes you second guess yourself and think maybe I am wrong. All the signs point one way and then wham she surprises you a twist! I throughly enjoyed The Perfect Son.

Not a favorite!
Revisado: 10-11-23
I liked the story and do wish it wasn’t so short. I would’ve liked to have learned more about Ian and how he lost his leg.
I think I would have preferred reading the book myself. It took me way to long to try and listen to the whole novelette. It was almost painful to listen to the narrator’s accents for the characters and overall story. He sounded like more like he had a fake Irish than Scottish. I think I would have preferred Davina Porter as the narrator.
