Historia
At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

Beautifully narrated and written with detail...

As I journeyed on a very long drive I was thoroughly delighted, intrigued, and historically fed by the many experiences of this midwife and her journey of learning, encounters with many varied situations, making a difference, and becoming more mature in her life skills. Yes I recommend.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

We don’t talk like that so f and all like words are offensive to us. We quit at the forward. I’m sure it’s a great storyline. Best wishes to him for more successes.

Born Rosita Dolores Alverio in the idyll of Puerto Rico, Moreno, at age five, embarked on a harrowing sea voyage with her mother and wound up in the harsh barrios of the Bronx, where she discovered dancing, singing, and acting as ways to escape a tumultuous childhood.

Her soothing Voice
Revisado: 05-16-19
I love biographies and It was enjoyable to hear her tell her own story with her beautiful voice. I gasped and was near tears and was heartbroken In many chapters of her life. She is an amazing woman, talented, beautiful, gutsy, persevering. She looked for happiness and contentment and found it finally. I am 37 years her junior but I’ve seen most of her movies and delighted with my children when seeing her on Sesame Street. I would have taken her in as my friend when she needed it most if stars has aligned that. She needed some good women friends which I’m glad she found later in life. Two thumbs up. Blessings to you lovely Rosarita.

Beautiful love story.
Revisado: 07-11-17
Somewhere in the years of 1970 and 71 Elvis performed in Salt Lake City. As my cousin's wife and I went to the restroom at the Hotel Utah after dinner before the concert we were invited to an Elvis party after the show by a guard at the elevator. We were surprised to find ourselves in a room after the concert with only Elvis, his father, and his doctor. After a half an hour of visiting Elvis invited us to go to his party. After accompanying us on an elevator to a party room he became mobbed by a large group of fans. There was a huge buffet table and many people clamoring for Elvis' attention. We figured we had a special experience and our turn at his time was over so we asked for our coats. To now hear Ginger's story of the generous gentleman he was, it only confirmed my impression of Elvis during that
brief visit. Best wishes to Ginger and her family. THANKYOU for sharing your love story. Everyone misses Elvis.

She's again the voice of warning to be prepared for the events prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Watch the news of the people fleeing from Syria from terrorists and the murders committed by Isis. They chant death to America and they are coming. We in America will be next to need to flee. I feel this book is another voice of warning to get prepared to survive.
