He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but going from Joel Leslie to the new narrator was jarring! The words and emotions did not always match up. I will not continue with this series.

racism, like homophobia, transphobia, ablism, sexism, etc, do not just function as an individual problem...it is an institutional and power structure problem. If you are aware of those other factors, you can potentially write a Black characters will feel more whole. or in the very least, they won't sound like a ww writers interpretation of what a Black character would say and feel.

Hiro needs better development

I know what I'm getting when I buy books from this author. And normally I really enjoy these books. They are great for escapism and campy/corny fun, but Hiro has not changed since the first book! He's still as inscure and unsure of himself as the first two books. If there is a fourth book, I'd really like if Hiro grew in confidence. If he doesn't, I'll de done with the series.

i dont know if Haven Hart was written after this book or before, but this is not as good in comparison. There is less character development, and it feels like a watered-down version of Snow and his romance with his mob boss. I would pass on this one. Wish I could my money back, but it harms the author more than ppl know!

Can romance novels stop with the copaganda!!!! The legal system is not equal, just, nor is it set up to protect anyone but rich people. Millions of cases go unsloved each year. Please to stop glorifying and perpetuating these myths. You're writers, use your 🤬 imaginations 🙄. WW writers please stop using "slaver driver", its gross and violent.
The narration was mid, nothing that great and in parts it took away from story immersion.

could of been better

The one thing i can commend about this author is there is low to no violence or rape against women in her books. She does stick to very strict gender roles, which is unfortunate. There was a transphobic joke in this book, which was highly offensive. Its just to bad that people think stuff like that is funny. There's way to much padding in each chapter. The misunderstandings in this series makes the characters seem unintelligent. The series is a cool idea, but it's delivered in a very flat and boring way. I found myself skipping around, because it couldn't hold my attention. If you love all her other writings, this series may still fall short.

Dont waste your money on this one

There are problems, but the narration was not one of them. So one of the MC isn't gay, bi or questioning, and according to that MC has never even been with a man or has thought nor fantasized about one, but one kiss and he's good to go. I wish we lived in a world were herto men were this open and would go with the flow, but we dont live in that world. Now i could suspend my disbelief if the MC's internal dialog said "gay sex feels so amazing"....like what!!!! That took me out. Also, no prep, no lube, and no omgea slick!!! That sounds so horrible...either the writer thinks anal sex works just like vaginal sex works or its lazy writing. Its pretty clear this writer isn't queer, but at least do some research so your character and diaolg doesn't sound idiotic!
I couldnt make it past chapter 5.

The Narration is a big miss

Kenneth Obi is a hit or miss!!! The narration really messes up the flow of the book and because he narrates the whole series I won't invest in the rest of the series.
