This story proves the point that just because some stories in this mega series may not be a favorite, keep reading because the next one might knock it out of the park and this one did just that. Susan was also on the top of her game. My only criticism is that I’m getting a bit weary of the majority of stories criminals are woman hating white men or arrogant white woman. Come on, this is New York! No other race commits violence? On the plus side, I love how Eve designates assignments to her team based on their strengths and what they bring to an op. Not their sexual orientation. Anyone who would even question why she chose to have Peabody go for-the child, hasn’t been reading this series!

This should have been a 5 star story. Even though over 4 stories, the heroine from the first gets turned into more of a selfish seeming bitch which isn’t cool, but I could have that. It’s all of the digs against anyone who has a political opinion other than the authors that were unnecessary and become insulting the more it continued.we really don’t need the “ rules for thee “ but not for me, coming from Characters that live lavishly and extravagantly. I’m not saying they shouldn’t fly in private jets. I’m saying cut the woke preach.

Love, Love, Loved cozying up on a cold weekend with a warm blanket and the love and warmth pouring out of this awesome book. Several times I caught myself grinning at Ian’s comments. Having been a Taggart groupie for years now, I want to also thank Ryan for reading keeping Ian the same in my head with his sexy voice.
