Historia
Haunted by the serial killer she never caught, Detective Kimberley King leaves her job in New York and relocates to the sleepy town of Dead Woman Crossing, Oklahoma. Kimberley hopes to bring her daughter Jessica up close to her family, far from the bad memories the city holds. But her quiet new home is not the peaceful place she dreamed of. Within days of her arrival, Kimberley is called to the scene of a terrible crime: her friend Hannah, a single mother, has been brutally murdered while her one-year-old daughter was sleeping nearby.

Horrible narrating and beyond awful story!
Revisado: 01-10-25
It is really hard to pick what was worse about this, the storytelling itself or the actual story. I don’t know why the narrator felt the need to put horrible accents on characters, but they definitely didn’t work. The story itself was mediocre at best and it actually makes you really hate the main character who you’re supposed to be cheering for. This whole book was A lesson in patience, and I’m trying to figure out what was actually the worst part about it. Please save your time and read, or do anything else besides listen to this.

Holy crap this is an amazing story!!!
Revisado: 08-26-22
At first I wasn’t too sure about this book. Started off interestingly enough then….non stop roller coaster ride of emotions. I don’t even know how I feel know that it’s done. The narrators did a phenomenal job as well. Amazing from beginning to end.

Great story HORRIBLE NARRATOR
Revisado: 04-08-21
This was an excellent addition to the private series. (Probably one of the best) the problem with it is the narrator. His vocal inflections throughout the story were horrible. He would start off a sentence loudly and his voice would trail off. This caused me having to rewind this book constantly to try to catch the words I had miss due to the faltering vocals. Very annoying at times.

Historia
The Indignities of Being a Woman candidly traces the history of womanhood and investigates how much things have really changed for womankind. By carefully x-raying areas such as body image, marriage, mental illness, fashion, and politics, this audiobook examines what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise.

Very educational and Excellent information -and we get it you hate trump so stop giving him so much of your time.
Revisado: 07-23-19
I really enjoyed the educational value of this book. It’s pretty amazing when you can gather together all the horrifying things that woman have had to deal with and add a little humor so while you learn about how f*cked it’s been for women we can slightly laugh at the same time. It’s more of an ‘are you sh!tting me!?!?’ kind of laugh, but hey being able to laugh about such atrocities is still a positive right?
The only thing that was soooo annoying was the constant jabs at Trump. Yes, I’m not a fan myself but I’m trying to listen and enjoy a book not constantly be reminded every 15 minutes how it all comes back to trump. If you’re not a fan is someone maybe stop giving them constant shout outs in your book...just a thought. Other than that it’s an eye widening approach to educating people on the crap that women had to go through to get where we are today... where exactly that is is still in question but hey knowledge is power right!

Historia
Late Victorian London. When James Miller, the most respectable of Scottish businessmen, is pulled, dead, from the Thames, his daughter is drawn into an investigation which reveals a whole world of secrets and corruption. Alongside local detective Culley, Catriona’s search for her father’s killer leads all the way to the tragic truth behind the ghostly legend of The Darkwater Bride and the power of her deadly kiss. The Darkwater Bride combines the genres of the Victorian mystery thriller with the equally classic Victorian mode of the ghostly tale.

Ehhhh bad acting and awful sound effects
Revisado: 06-22-19
I wanted to try to like this book but the reading was over dramatic the acting was bleh and sometimes hard to hear (I know it was for effect) and the plot itself was just bleh. How many times will one ‘lady’ get mistaken for a whore and so on. So not worth your time.
