Historia
What if a Florida Man gets OP Wizard Magic? Zarian Darkrun, a Marine Corps Veteran, is tired of being a homeless reject and ends his earthly ties. He opens a portal in a busy mall and sends himself, some koi fish, and nine other Floridians into another world. Welcome to the Infinita Star System, a universe of epic fantasy and game-like magic. Only the strong can adventure and ascend from the lower worlds to the higher worlds of the Star System. Among those powerful few are tyrants and crusaders, each seeking godhood or the empty Throne of the Adventurer King.

Rough start, but has potential
Revisado: 01-20-25
The whole story is a bit wild and weird in the beginning, about 1/3 of the way through, it gets more cohesive, but some of OPs interactions with his borderline harem team are really strange. This mellows out a bit, but is still present all the way through.
I think this could have been paced a lot faster and would have been better without the random and mismatched god interactions as well.
All that said, it was entertaining, but there is a lot of cringe and even though the MC is quite fittingly the overpowered wizard, the author has a hard time putting that application of that power with every interaction.
The ending definitely leaves potential for the series to continue and rectify a lot of this, but you’ll be powering through some weird and cringey stuff to get to the finish line. I don’t regret buying and reading it, but I probably will never listen to this again.

Historia
In the year 2107, the world has both made astounding leaps forward and reduced humanity to its most basic existence. While the megacorps and those who rule them enjoy lives of extraordinary comfort and ease, most people barely scrape by, doing whatever they can to keep going. Juliet Bianchi is one of the latter. She works cutting metal in a scrapyard and doesn't have much to show for it except for a small group of equally bereft, fiercely loyal friends. Still, she maintains a bright disposition, possessing more hope and optimism than anyone would expect her to—and she's going to need it.

Feels like a great mix of cyberpunk 2049 and the movie JustInTime. Looking forward to how it progresses.

Historia
Hiral is the Everfail, the weakest person on the flying island of Fallen Reach. He trains harder than any warrior. Studies longer than any scholar. But all his people are born with magic powered by the sun, flowing through tattoos on their bodies. Despite having enormous energy within, Hiral is the only one who can’t channel it; his hard work is worth nothing. Until it isn’t. In a moment of danger, Hiral unlocks an achievement with a special instruction: Access a Dungeon to receive a Class-Specific Reward.

Historia
On the cusp of a second lease on life, Harvey, Tabitha, Maywen, and Reacher have one goal: to level up before the World Boss regenerates. Lorith is alive again, but the remnants of centuries of toxic magic pollution linger. The world needs more healing than even someone with a Legendary class can administer, not at level 3 anyway.

Harvey really is a great protagonist
Revisado: 05-02-24
I really enjoyed the pace again here. I love how Harvey and Tabitha are trying to do their best to help people, but also getting setbacks despite potential to have an easy road.
My only wish is that this was a little longer! Very entertaining and I loved how it used both voice actors.
Solid 4.5/5 for me, worth a listen.

A creative twist and non troped

Loved that this was a fresh take and from an angle of a more selfish and less immature protagonist. Great start good pace.

Historia
Victor can’t wait to get the hell out of high school, go to the local community college on a sports scholarship, and start his own life. But that’s all put on hold when he enters his abuela’s house and somehow ends up stepping into a world unlike anything he’s ever known, filled with fantastical meta-humans; walking, talking devils; and other creatures one usually needs some serious pharmaceuticals to see. Fanwath is no dream, though. In fact, it’s a nightmare.

Revisado: 07-01-23
Good story, definitely unique situations, but the swearing gets old. If he was not swearing every couple of minutes, it would be 5 stars.

Historia
Jake is working at the neighborhood market under his apartment when the world ends. He expected nuclear war, a computer virus, or even climate change burning everyone to a crisp to bring about the downfall of civilization. But cruel and arbitrary gods from another world? Who would have guessed that? When these cruel gods shuffled Earth like a deck of cards, nothing was in the same place anymore. Monsters, dungeons, and magical items appear scattered across the globe. And suddenly, everyone has access to a new, strange magical card system that gives them magical powers.

Excellent, but ending feels rushed
Revisado: 06-13-23
Awesome book, worth reading, wish the end was a little more cohesive, but doesn’t hurt the overall book. Don’t hesitate if you’re on the fence.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

From start to finish, it was fantastic. I hadn't read it since 5th grade, so 17 years later, it was incredibly nostalgic.
