Historia
It’s the $10 million heist you’ve never heard of. In a matter of months, dozens of truckloads disappeared from American highways. But what were they carrying? Nuts. Marc Fennell takes you into a rabbit hole of crime syndicates, stolen identities and private investigators that will change the way you think about food forever. Eighty per cent of the world’s almonds are grown in the heart of California, but this journey will take you to Italy, the Spanish coast, deep under the earth and even into space.

A real eye opener.
Revisado: 12-22-21
This was a fascinating story and I will certainly be discussing what I learned from this Audible Original story with friends and family.
Small Criticisms: I'm not all that interested in listening to his kids eat or talk about cracking and/or eating nuts. I liked how they were used originally to help introduce the story, but after that, thanks, but they're bound to be more interesting to the author and his family.
I would really have liked to hear more about the Armenians behind all of this, though I doubt they would be as forthcoming as the investigators, or willing witnesses to the thefts.
I would strongly recommend this audio book.

Just a few scientists and military personnel working for Majestic-12 do, and they are about to make a very big mistake.

Mindless entertainment - pure pulp
Revisado: 03-11-20
Okay, but just another military-alien SF tale. It won't win awards. it's representative of SF that would was popular in the late 60's-70's. I would have liked it as a teenager. It was entertaining, without requiring much attention.

Washington Post national investigative reporter Carol Leonnig and White House bureau chief Philip Rucker, both Pulitzer Prize winners, provide the definitive insider narrative of Donald Trump's unique presidency with shocking new reporting and insight into its implications. Here, for the first time, certain officials who felt honor-bound not to divulge what they witnessed in positions of trust tell the truth for the benefit of history.

All that mattered to Neil as he searched for a safe spot to land was that boulders littered the surface below. “Thirty seconds,” called mission control. In truth, the flight controllers were now no more than spectators, just like everybody else. No more needed to be said. It was down to Armstrong

Narrator should know at least the names
Revisado: 02-01-20
I like the book generally, but it would have benefited with more technical details. This is Apollo-lite, good for an overview of the early manned space program, but more in-depth books are plentiful, e.g., A Man On the Moon: The Voyages of Apollo Astronauts, by Andrew Chaikin.
Also, the narrator should learn how to pronounce the names of the participants, and their spacecraft. Examples include Walter "Wally" Schirra, Maxime "Max" Faget, and the Agena docking module.

Steady decline
Revisado: 07-23-19
The first book was great, the second okay, but this was a fairytale. it was acceptable, but a bit contrived. It was a chance to see characters that we liked, play together again, but the story just couldn't compete with the original. It devolved into a chance for characters to play the same roles they always pla, and after all is said and done, they all lived happily ever after. Please don't let there be a fourth book!

Historia
Moneyball reveals a quest for something as elusive as the Holy Grail, something that money apparently can't buy: the secret of success in baseball. The logical places to look would be the giant offices of major league teams and the dugouts. But the real jackpot is a cache of numbers collected over the years by a strange brotherhood of amateur baseball enthusiasts: software engineers, statisticians, Wall Street analysts, lawyers, and physics professors.

No math, but assumes baseball stats knowledge
Revisado: 03-27-19
Lewis always does this. He assumes you are quite familiar with the subject's underlying terms before writing a story about it. I understood the story qualitatively, but wish he could have defined the stats used better. He rushes through often used statistical measurements as if you're already well versed in the subject matter. I like baseball and have studied math/computer science, but not stats. I am not versed in the terms used routinely in the collection of baseball statistics. Not knowing it, this book will not give you that knowledge, but will assume you have it and use it as building blocks for this story.

Not nearly as good as his Super Powered series.
Revisado: 03-12-19
This book really just doesn't go very far as a story. It ends suddenly with no resolution and no real hint at what may be coming in the book. It's not good enough on its own to make me want to waste another credit to see what happens next.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.
