I loved getting some of the questions answered finally. Now we will have to wait to see what can happen next. We need a family tree to figure out who is who. It has become so complex now.

Wonderful!!!
Revisado: 05-02-21
This is probably the best book Karen White has written yet. It was exciting, interesting, and kept the reader going page upon page. Character development was exceptional. The way in which the two timelines were handled was masterful. I have listened and read every book she has written and I highly recommend this book!

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

A Murmur of Bees
Revisado: 06-03-19
This story was well written and had great character development. That is why I stayed until the end. It was however the saddest book I have ever read. If you are the least bit prone to depression this is not the book for you.

A Different Style
Revisado: 07-30-16
I waited anxiously for another book from one of my favorite authors. This book is a family drama which is totally different from previous books by Lucinda Riley. It was well written but not just what you would expect as her other books. I do not care for family dramas very much. It almost is a different genre than the others that were more historical fiction .
