Historia
Joshua R. Eyler identifies five broad themes running through recent scientific inquiry - curiosity, sociality, emotion, authenticity, and failure - devoting a chapter to each and providing practical takeaways for busy teachers. He also interviews and observes college instructors across the country, placing theoretical insight in dialogue with classroom experience.

Worst narrator ever!

This might be an interesting book on learning, but I will never know. I could not get past the nasal, droning voice of the narrator.

Praise for Harkness
Revisado: 12-15-18
Great blend of history with the fictional story line. Engaging extension of the earlier books brings fleshes out new characters who were only names before. The narrator was ok, but pronunciation was sometimes off and she did not capture the characters as well as Jennifer Ikeda did in the earlier volumes.

Historia
A delightful novel about "how girls catch husbands." Listen in to find out: What will happen to sister Lydia? Will the arrogant Lady Catherine de Burgh's intrigues be foiled? Will sister Jane marry Mr. Bingley? And especially, will Elizabeth, cured of her prejudice, and Mr. Darcy, cured of his pride, fall into each other's arms? Listeners will also savor the wit, the sly irony and satire and comedy that Miss Austen crowds into almost every quiet, well-bred line of this novel.

Weak narration

I found the narrator’s voice irritating and could not listen to this though Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite novels.
