Historia
Terence McKenna hypothesizes that as the North African jungles receded, giving way to savannas and grasslands near the end of the most recent ice age, a branch of our arboreal primate ancestors left the forest canopy and began living in the open areas beyond. There they experimented with new varieties of foods as they adapted, physically and mentally, to the environment. Among the new foods found in this environment were psilocybin-containing mushrooms.

I wanted to learn more
Revisado: 02-19-24
This book doesn't give nearly the level of insight that any of the video recordings of Terence do. Instead, roughly 60% of the content in this book condemns today's cultures for the history of dominator values and oppressive virtues, of which most modern society have eliminated decades ago. Also, you are a bad person if you eat meat, don't subscribe to a socialist ideology, believe in gender differences, are a decendent of dominator cultures, support total government gun controll and the discontinuation of the Second Amendment, as well as accept a 200-300% federal tax on certain substances like cannabis and alcohol. If you can look passed all that opinionated thinking, you can learn about the history of spiritual and important compounds throughout human history. If not, you will have a tough time with this book. I'd listen to some interviews with Terence McKenna instead, where he is MUCH less political and opinionated on topics irrelevant to understanding altered states of consciousness.

Historia
If you’re having trouble solving a problem or reaching a dream, the problem isn’t you. It’s that you haven’t yet installed the one belief that changes everything. Marie’s mom once told her, “Nothing in life is that complicated. You can do whatever you set your mind to if you roll up your sleeves. Everything is figureoutable.” Whether you want to leave a dead end job, break an addiction, learn to dance, heal a relationship, or grow a business, Everything is Figureoutable will show you how.
