Thoroughly enjoyed these tales of SAR training​

Susannah Charleston gave a beautifully told her story of selecting, raising and training a golden retriever for search and rescue from early puppy training through several certifications. Her respect for the actual details regarding the search victims allowed the enjoyment and deep appreciation of the often volunteer and extremely rigorous work and lifestyle without making the worst of situations leave the reader feeling all the weight. I enjoyed her narration and openness to share some of her personal situation which added to an understanding of her "dog family members" and made her feel like someone I'd like to share dog stories with and know better. I'm looking forward to additional books by this author.

I love the Andy Carpenter series. Even though I didn't listen in order, it was great to go back to the beginning and meet Laurie, Willie Miller, and Kevin early on. Willie becomes a favorite character - someone with so much depth and true character - from the death row inmate - as we first met him. Love the relationship between Andy and his beloved Golden Retriever, Tara and definitely the twists and turns in his relationship with Laurie. Grover Gardner's narration to brings Andy to life for me and keeps me wanting to hear every detail as the team solves the case and the associated mystery along the way. If you love the Andy Carpenter series - definitely check out Lessons from Tara and Dogtripping. A huge fan of David Rosenfelt and Andy Carpenter.

Loved it - kept me guessing until the end!

Love every one of the Raine Stockton series. This edition added characters, new adventures and dangers that kept me wondering and wanting to go back and re-listen to make sure i didn't miss a clue!!! Each book makes me feel like Raine, Cisco and the gang are friends that i would love to hang out with. The only problem is that I'm always left waiting anxiously for the next book. As an owner of 3 rescue dogs i find myself picking up training tricks to try! Keep them coming and please keep Donna Postel as the narrator! She's my favorite female narrator -even doing the male voices!

Excellent story - wonderful characters!

Donna Postel is a favorite narrator of mine and I am so grateful that I stumbled across this story. I was drawn in immediately and did not want to set it down until i could follow the story to the end. The imperfect, vulnerability displayed by the characters was so refreshing and endearing. I too lost a flat-coated retriever mix/rescue in the past months and i was not expecting that detail...the book walked me through a little more of my own grief while following along with Maggie.

Great where the Cisco era began story

Thoroughly enjoyed learning about Cisco's history along with a light and cheery Christmas story. Best part for me was some nice thoughtful closure from Buck.

Very entertaining - not your expected mystery!

Excellent getting to know Raine, Miles, and more outside usual environment. Narrator did super job with new cast of characters!!! Great listen and still true to original characters.
