Excellent book. Reads like a distillation of many self-help books I’ve read. Pat Flynn does a good job of laying out important good mindset and important life skills.

Acadia, the last human city. For 200 years, vicious creatures have laid siege to the city, leaving the land rough with the bodies of the fallen. For Cojax, training to become a defender of the city is his greatest ambition. That all changes when a girl from outside the city walls appears - from a land that supposedly held no life. Her presence threatens to undermine the entire society, putting Cojax in an impossible situation. He must now choose between what is right and what is necessary for humanity to survive.

Believable characters. Excellent story. Great imagination.
Revisado: 11-30-16
Excellent performance, narration is on point. As for the story, I found it to be original and good. It was a story whose center is the struggles of a cast of believable characters. I was surprised at almost every turn, and it was difficult to predict how things would go. The stupidity that plagues main characters in other books was blissfully absent, as were plot devices. The apparent gaps in logic and knowledge that are initially introduced were filled in throughout the story to my satisfaction.

One of the best fantasy series out there.

An amazing start to a series. Tim Curry is an excellent narrator. I read this book years ago, bought the audiobook to relive the story.
