Historia
Summer vacation on the island was supposed to be a restorative time for Kate, who'd lost her close friend Elizabeth in a sudden accident. But when she inherits a trunk of Elizabeth's journals, they reveal a woman far different than the cheerful wife and mother Kate had known. The complicated portrait of Elizabeth--her upbringing, her marriage, and journey to motherhood--makes Kate question not just their friendship, but her most fundamental beliefs about loyalty and deception at a time when she is uncertain in her own marriage.

Typical story line
Revisado: 11-09-16
I like the way the story captivates you but it was typical story line in that you knew what was to come before it happened. Overall it was good.

You really have to be patient when reading
Revisado: 01-21-15
This was a great story with a lot of details of the past so you have to be patient and stay with it. You will see where the author is going with each character. Good book. I would recommend it to my patient and older friends who likes a good story but my young adult daughters?? Not so much. They would want everything right up front.

Historia
A deeply emotional tale about Sophie Duncan, a successful columnist whose world falls apart after her daughter's unexpected illness and her husband's shocking affair. When it seems nothing else could possibly go wrong, her car skids off an icy road and plunges into a frozen lake. There, in the cold, dark depths of the water a profound and extraordinary experience unlocks the surprising secrets from Sophie's past, and teaches her what it means to truly live...and love.

Great Start to a Series of Books!!
Revisado: 08-29-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Color of Heaven to be better than the print version?
The only difference between the print and audible edition is the tone of the reader. I would recommend that there are different people reading instead of tones in one person's voice. The person reading these books tries to differentiate between the characters but I think her capability was a little short. I think it would not make a difference to the listener if this was not a series.
What did you like best about this story?
The interconnection between the characters.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Jennifer O'Donnell?
I would but I would prefer if they use another voice for other characters instead of her voice trying to change from female to male and character to character.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Color of Heaven
Any additional comments?
I would love to see this series as a movie, a series of movies, or vignettes of a movie.
