Historia
The rebellion is over. Prince Charles is in hiding, the Jacobite clans are scattered to the four winds, and in Inverness, the Duke of Cumberland plans a brutal retribution against the Highlanders who rose against his father. His intention: to ensure they can never rise again. Alex, knowing Beth to be dead, leads his men into a vicious war of attrition against the British Redcoats, who have destroyed everything in life he ever held dear. Only his desire for revenge keeps him alive.

Dear Lord!
Revisado: 02-14-24
If this was a reading of Cat Lady Lucy Rayner would be perfect. However, for this series she is absolutely WRONG!!! Her affect at the end of each sentence is driving me crazy!!!! I hope the original reader of the female parts read the rest of the books. I have zero objection with Will M. Watt. He reads his parts perfectly.

Was This Read by AI???
Revisado: 12-02-23
Is it just me or was this book read by a computer? There are several places where words are mispronounced and little, if any, change in inflection/tone. Even with this suspicion of being read to by a computer, the story was informative and I will listen to volume 2. Hopefully there is a different reader - a human one.

Historia
"Justine, or The Misfortunes of Virtue", is an early work by the Marquis de Sade. It is a novella, written in two weeks while he was imprisoned in the famous Bastille. Unlike some of his other works, it is not just a catalogue of sadism. It is meant to bring new life to an old genre, which had the reader accustomed to see virtue eventually triumph after trials only meant to bring out its value. Sade would have none of that in Justine: in her quest for virtue, the main character keeps falling into terrible situations, which humiliate her and present her with sexual lessons hidden under the mask of virtue.

Good Narration, Awful Editing
Revisado: 01-09-22
While the narration is good, the voice pleasing, and the pace relaxing, the editing is more than lacking. often lines are repeated. As I am not familiar with the Marquis de Sade's writings, I cannot testify as to the completeness of this particular recording. However, considering where the story stopped, I doubt very much this is the entire writing.

Historia
Eighteenth-century Scotsman James Fraser and his 20th-century time-travelling wife, Claire Randall, have emigrated to the beautiful countryside of the Royal Colony of North Carolina. The year is now 1771, and dissidents are stirring throughout the American colonies. Claire forewarns James of the impending war and the dangers it may bring to their clan. Will her knowledge of America’s tumultuous revolution be enough to guide them through a dangerously uncertain future?

Helped me a lot!!!!!
Revisado: 09-27-17
I was struggling with my feelings about opening our relationship. This book helped me see that my feelings are valid and I had every right to have those feelings. It also helped me find ways to cope with those feelings and how to openly discuss those feelings with those involved.
