Love story was overpowered by Domestic Abuse talk

The first book “It Ends With Us”may be one of my favorites of all times. So I’m quite disappointed with this book. I feel the whole book discussed domestic abuse way more than I expected and was comfortable with. Especially when it actually happened in the last book. It completely overshadowed any love story that brewed in this. I honestly wished I had not have read it. It didn’t set well with my stomach.
There were definite moments in this book that were great and worth reading. I just don’t see whey there was such an emphasis on the abuse. It overpowered the book.

I love this book and love the story and most importantly, I love LoLo’s perspective on life. It isn’t a poor me pity story but it is taking the pain and making it Gold.
“Fight the injustices of your past, scorn the shame,take what you’ve been given, put in the work and get over it”
I’m buying the hard copy for my teenage athletes also.
