Historia
Bordeaux, 1367. Having angered the bloodthirsty Don Pedro, King of Castile, Sir Thomas Blackstone is thoroughly sick of his mission for the Prince of Wales, but must remain true to his oath. But this is the Hundred Years' War, and tensions are rising once more. With the Prince of Wales deeply unpopular in his Aquitainian lands, Blackstone, King Edward's Master of War, must return to French soil to help stem the tide of support for the King of France. Meanwhile, Henry, Blackstone's son, faces an incognito ride across France with his own motley band of outlaws and mercenaries.

Good but annoying
Revisado: 04-14-25
I really like the book, but I really don’t like how the office handled Henry Blackstone, there was really no point of his being in the book side from to bring trouble to his father as a character. Henry is bad ass. I’m probably gonna drop the series after this one.

They will not give up their hard-won spoils to honor a defeated king's promises. If the English want their prize, they'll have to fight for it...Thomas Blackstone will have to fight for it. But this time there will be no English army at his back. He'll face the French alone.

I love this series. Sir Blackstone is that guy. He has that dog in him.

Historia
It is 935 A.D., and the North is in turmoil. King Harald Fairhair has died, leaving the High Seat of the realm to his murderous son, Erik Bloodaxe. To solidify his claim, Erik ruthlessly disposes of all claimants to his throne, save one: his youngest brother Hakon. Erik's surviving enemies send a ship to Wessex, where the Christian King Athelstan is raising Hakon. Unable to avoid his fate, he returns to the Viking North to face his brother and claim his birthright, only to discover that victory will demand sacrifices beyond his wildest nightmares.

Bland Story, Evern Blander Narrator.
Revisado: 05-31-20
the story was bland and predictable, Haakon was even worse. His piety chafed and the narrator was just awful. Honestly, I most likely wont continue with this series.
