Historia
PhD candidate Phoebe Walsh has always been obsessed with true crime. She's even analyzing the genre in her dissertation—if she can manage to finish writing it. It's hard to find the time while she spends the summer in Florida, cleaning out her childhood home, dealing with her obnoxiously good-natured younger brother, and grappling with the complicated feelings of mourning a father she hadn't had a relationship with for years.

Not bad.
Revisado: 11-17-23
The character building was decent. The main character’s voice and internal monologue was annoying. She was down to earth though Phoebe’s constant casual comparisons of serial killers to regular people didn’t feel like she’s studying true crime but more like an ADHD impulse or just to be quirky. It didn’t demonstrate her knowledge of true crime literature at all.

Without love, they were doomed to be ousted from their kingdom at the end of a year and a day. A year and a day passed. This is where their story starts. Trying hard to be funny
Revisado: 04-23-23
It felt childish to listen to with lots of fading in twinkle fantasy music and characters that weren’t truly fleshed out. Felt like a surface level character development overall and the story was lackluster. If you’re looking for a story that involves a random enchanted cape that talks and thinks it’s a horse, lots of family that you get introduced to but never play a role in the overarching theme then you might like it— get into it.
