As in previous entries, awesome storytelling
Revisado: 10-04-20
If you want to further understand the complex relationship between Hadrian and Royce, this book will not disappoint you. Also if you are new to the series, this is an interesting read, but still, would be advisable to have at least read the trilogy beforehand.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one. A thief, a candlemaker, an ex-mercenary, and a pig farmer walk into a trap…and what happens to them is no joke. When Riyria is hired to retrieve a jester’s treasure, Royce and Hadrian must match wits with a dwarf who proves to be anything but a fool. Difficult choices will need to be made, and in the end those who laugh last do so because they are the only ones to survive.

Should be read last, so things come full circle
Revisado: 12-02-19
It is a very good collection of stories that expends the context of the trilogy and the stand alone books. This is why in my opinion it should be read last. Charachthers are very well build and some familiar faces get another layer of their personality exposed. Comic relief is there, as expected and things fall into place nicely from a narrative perspective. Again should be read last to fully enjoy it (after the first trilogy and the stand alone books).

Historia
They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter, and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbour, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

A must read
Revisado: 09-02-19
Although this is a standalone book, the way it ties in with the previous works is marvelous. There are some dialogue lines that will stick with you for a while and the action and characters developed for this novel are all you can expect from master Joe. Defiantly a must read for the fans of the series.

This was one of the most enjoyable conclusions to a trilogy that I have ever read. The narrative is what you have come to expected from Joe Abercrombie and the way the story of the main characters wraps up is satisfying.
