Historia
On a hot July morning on Sweden's idyllic vacation island of Sandhamn, a man takes his dog for a walk and makes a gruesome discovery: a body, tangled in fishing net, has washed ashore. Police detective Thomas Andreasson is the first to arrive on the scene. Before long, he has identified the deceased as Krister Berggren, a bachelor from the mainland who has been missing for months. All signs point to an accident - until another brutalized corpse is found at the local bed-and-breakfast.

Awful narration
Revisado: 11-15-16
The story is fine but the narration was very annoying, shrill yet wooden. Will not buy the next in the series as the narrator is the same.

Historia
On the west coast of Sweden, in Skärhamn on Tjörn, Chief Inspector Greger Thulin thinks he lives at an idyllic spot. But even the most beautiful painting can have a faulty stroke of the brush. Hiding behind the walls of Bleket School, are bullying and drug addicted students. Homeroom teacher, Jonas Blomgren, lives on Rönnvägen. Amanda Durén and Belinda Wallin are pupils in his class.

Not so good
Revisado: 08-25-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The story is ok, not brilliant but decent so I can't complain about that.
Would you recommend Murder in Skarhamn to your friends? Why or why not?
I'd probably not recommend it since the story is only passable and the narration is abysmal.
Would you be willing to try another one of Judith Bourque’s performances?
No. This narrator is not good. No intonations for different characters, distracting breaths during the reading and awkward phrases in the translation. Because of the flat read, you need to repeat sections to remember who was speaking. Clearly the reader is not an actor.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No way. I'd sit in the parking lot and play Pokemon Go instead.
Any additional comments?
It's cheap for a reason. Skip it and find something better.
