Historia
Spensa made it out of the Nowhere, but what she saw in the space between the stars has changed her forever. She came face to face with the Delvers, and finally got answers to the questions she’s had about her own strange Cytonic gifts. The Superiority didn’t stop fighting for galactic dominance while she was gone, though. Spensa’s team, Skyward Flight, was able to hold Winzik off, and even collect allies to help with the cause, but it’s only a matter of time until humanity—and the rest of the galaxy—falls.

Content with what I got
Revisado: 11-29-23
This was a good way to end the series. Spensa got some MUCH needed character development, in my opinion. The action wasn't at the level I would expect of Sanderson, but it was entertaining enough. I could understand if someone were to say the final battle was a little anticlimactic. For me though, it was a solid enough conclusion that I'm content with my purchase of the book.

Much improvement over book 1

Pacing is much better and several reasonably timed plots to help continue the series. Looking forward to listening to the next book

Historia
Today's inequality is on a scale that none of us has seen in our lifetimes, yet this disparity between rich and poor has ramifications that extend far beyond mere financial means. In The Broken Ladder, psychologist Keith Payne examines how inequality divides us not just economically, but also has profound consequences for how we think, how our cardiovascular systems respond to stress, how our immune systems function, and how we view moral ideas such as justice and fairness.

Historia
Spensa’s life as a Defiant Defense Force pilot has been far from ordinary. She proved herself one of the best starfighters in the human enclave of Detritus, and she saved her people from extermination at the hands of the Krell - the enigmatic alien species that has been holding them captive for decades. What’s more, she traveled light-years from home as an undercover spy to infiltrate the Superiority, where she learned of the galaxy beyond her small planet home. Now, the Superiority - the governing galactic alliance bent on dominating all human life - has started a galaxy-wide war.

It progresses the story....
Revisado: 04-11-22
Full disclosure, I really do not like the protagonist, even in the previous two books. I'll try not to let that bias leak into this review, but sometimes that does play a minor factor in my criticisms.
The story itself seemed to have been a decrease in intensity for the series. The first book, we had struggling through a discriminating authority and fighting a war. The second book we had spying and learning cultural empathy/understanding. This book...... I don't even know what we got. The best I could describe it as is a set of small plots trying to be mashed together into a full story. This is of no fault to the performance, Suzy Johnson did great work at making the protagonist slightly more bearable than she would've been if I had read the book rather than listened to it. Some of the side characters' voices didn't particularly matched what I believe their personalities to be, but that's a really small thing. But powers seem to make drastic changes for reasons I don't understand why were put into the story. Constantly getting new side characters thrown into the stories makes it difficult to empathize or care about their goals knowing that I'll likely won't see them again. No actual threat to the protagonist other than in the last 1-1.5 hours. A few interesting moments that got built up and resulted in a rush and/or unsatisfying conclusion. This is certainly my most disliked book of the series. I will still buy and listen to book 4 when it comes out because I still like the world and I'm still interested in seeing how the story will play out, but I'm certain not waiting/looking forward to it.

Story was good, but it spent so much time in a flashback that at times it felt more like a prequel than a follow up to the Red Sea. Still liked it and looking forward to the 4th book of the series

Good Attempt
Revisado: 01-15-22
I understand what the author was trying to go for, but the story is slow and convoluted. The main character and quest is intriguing, but the story jumps around so much that it's difficult to keep track of who's a character worth focusing on. DC characters appear just for the sake of name dropping, honestly the story would've been an improvement without them. What could've been a thrilling, supernatural horror story was watered down to a DC comic's side characters side story. Glad I got this for free

Decent Sanderson story
Revisado: 04-03-21
Story kind of heard to follow at some points and can use a second longer break between moving to a new chapter. Also, 2 out of 3 of the main characters are so perfect and full of themselves that it's not even fun to listen to their stories because they practically make no mistakes of worth to add suspense to the plot and get what they want almost as soon as they want it

Concept of the Library and the story were interesting. Good twist that I guessed wrong. But the voices all sounded too alike that every character felt the same and the main character appeared so unlikable at times

Historia
Jace Hughes is a Renegade. That means taking almost any job that comes his way, no matter the situation. So long as he can keep his ship floating, he's free to live the life he wants. But that all changes when he meets Abigail Pryar, a nun looking for safe passage out of the system. Too bad there's something off about the cargo she's carrying. Jace knows he shouldn't ask too many questions, but when strange sounds start coming from inside the large, metal box, he can't help but check it out. Big mistake. To make matters worse, he's being pursued by unknown ships - who want that cargo.
