The virtual voice narration proved distracting. Outstanding narrators capture emotion and convey meaning through inflection, pace, tone, volume, and feeling in ways that a program cannot. The virtual voice offered a flat, hollow reading of the text that took away from the story, especially with the frequent mispronunciations of heteronyms.
