Enjoyable cont. of Eric Rex
Revisado: 04-18-11
I really enjoy this book. As an adult the plot is a bit thin in places and the storyline is easy to guess but it is a worth adventurer story and not everything is quiet how you might think. I my option the books are getting better as Kaza seems to be finding her own magic. ;)
I very much hope audible will get the 4th book and in fact the rest of them as they are published.

Bartimaeus, everyones favorite (wise-cracking) djinni, is back in book four of this best-selling series. As alluded to in the footnotes throughout the series, Bartimaeus has served hundreds of magicians during his 5,010 year career. Now, for the first time, fans will go back in time with the djinni, to Jerusalem and the court of King Solomon in 950s BC. Only in this adventure, it seems the great Bartimaeus has finally met his match.

Wonderful return and get start too
Revisado: 12-09-10
This is a fun return of Bartimaeus and his adventures. The book stands alone and in many ways makes more sense as a first read before the the other 3 books. If you enjoy a light heart story with one liners and plenty of magic this is great. I'm betting the kids will enjoy too.

Harsh, Depressing, Historical Novel
Revisado: 01-18-09
I bought this book as it was required reading for a course I'm taking in History. If you are looking for a cheery novel to read on a trip I suggest you try something else. Sex without love or for that matter romance, starvation, children having sex with each other, and proverity due to poor market and inablity to link sex with having babies are just in first half of what this novel has to ofter. I really do not understand why this novel has a high rating on amazon. However if you what to know what life was like in the 1880 in France for coal miners this book will tell you.

This is a very enjoyable Fantasy/Action novel. It's got well written and developing characters who really interact with each other and are not purely good or evil. This is one of those rare stories where you can really believe in the rules of the world and the people within in it.

Coming of Teenhood
Revisado: 01-18-07
If you where scary off by the review about the Faeries killing kittens I feel this needs clearing up a bit. There is VERY clear stated 2 "types/races" of Faeries in this story: Faeries of the Light and Faeries of the Night. If you have read older Fantasy Titles you might be familiar with the idea that sometimes Faeries are not nice, this is true in some cases in this story.
There is quiet open talk that 1) Some people are attracted to there own sex 2) Just because you've have kids doesn't mean that you aren't attracted to you own sex. 3) Not Everyone is law abiding as they might seem.
This is a story for older kids and teens if you feel that stories with Gay people in them are bad or wrong for your kids at this point stand clear but this is a very well written, enjoyable paced book. Personally I would guess that the Grade 6-7+ would really enjoy this but is also fun for adults looking for light story about coming into teenagehood.

Undercraft...hrm
Revisado: 01-18-07
This is a very enjoyable title, if at the outset the action does drop a bit more then one could wish it makes up for it in later chapters. If your looking for the main character to become a wizard then your out of luck on this book but there is tons of magic in the story. It is a must read for the second book The Window and the King which is even more exciting. The main characters in this story felt a little distanced from the events around them but the author brings it off reasonable well.

Rats and Cats
Revisado: 12-04-05
This story deals with Rats. Both in the white/brown furry nature and in non-furry human type. It is a story abouts Cons and understanding self.
This is a wonderful book for someone who just getting started with the Terry P as it doesn't depend on understand the rest of Discworld to enjoy. The characters are enjoyable, well deveopled and a light refection of the world.
The reader has a good clear understand English voice as does a lovely job of give each charater there own voice in the story.
DL and Share with the family for a very enjoy afternoon(s). :)
