In this intense detective thriller instilled with philosophical, religious, and social commentary, Dostoevsky studies the psychological impact upon a desperate and impoverished student when he murders a despicable pawnbroker, transgressing moral law to ultimately "benefit humanity".

Struggled to listen to long stretches of meaningless narration and repetitive diarrhetic dialogue and rhetoric obfuscation...what???

Historia
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

Excellent read or listen with conviction
Revisado: 01-04-23
The book is extremely well written and organized. The introduction tells you the layout and delivery. Very easy to review and verify. No more explanation is needed. You can tell what negative reviewers still want to hang onto and their points show their reference! Their irritations stem from facts of a well loaded shotgun that hits with every pellet. These reviewers are still hanging onto the 1966 Times cover story. They cannot accept reason and opinion nor fact based theory, which is exactly how science develops. The atheist viewpoint and obvious intellectual self righteousness is precisely what keeps them on their high and lofty perchs. Metaxis is a very studious and educated writer! His research has been a lifelong performance. His frank openness is indicative of his willingness to examine all sides of a subject. His conversion from atheism is a testament to this and I think his feet will be fine from any and all shotgun wounds.😇
