Guilty pleasure reading!
Revisado: 09-28-24
I listened to this right after finishing The Playgroup by
Jami Worthington. Both were similar, but set in opposite coasts. Loved both of them. I can relate to “of course it happened in Florida” since I’ve been living in Florida and saying that line forever. Easy, guilty pleasure listening, stellar narration and finished both in days. Sometimes, you just need to listen to a scandalously delightful book, about women playing “top this” with one another. We all know things are never what they seem. Cheers to Pink Glass Houses!!!

Big Little Lies Meets Serial Killer Meets AI
Revisado: 07-20-24
This was a 5-star listen all the way! You’ll feel like you’re right there in the Maldives, experiencing the action in real time with these women. I felt like it was a blend of Big Little Lies, a serial killer mystery, and AI. I devoured this Audible in just a couple of days, always eager to get back to it. If you’re a fan of mystery, thriller, or suspense (hundreds in my library), you’ll love piecing together the twists from the subtle clues dropped early on. Getting to know these characters was a joy, and you’ll find yourself wanting to be friends with some of them. The narration was spot-on for each character, and now I’m ready to book a trip to the Maldives. I always feel like when I finish a good book with great characters, it’s a little like a breakup. I am sad it’s over. This one definitely felt like that for me. Like I said there are many clues from the beginning to figuring out the twist but if not, LISTEN to the D-N-A, D-N-A, D-N-A.

For the extravagant affair, Natasha splurges on trendy food boards created by rising social media star, Stella St. James. The sumptuous boards go way beyond basic cheese and crackers, as Stella dazzles guests. Just as Natasha planned, the food is to die for—until someone actually does.

Series just gets better & better
Revisado: 05-27-24
I’m an avid mystery/thriller/suspense reader. I alternate from the bestsellers to the cozy types. The Diva Series is the top of the cozy genre because it’s so well done. Every character is interesting and smart, plus the setting descriptions makes me want to be a part of the community. There are no apologies for the main character’s choices and they don’t always have to have a love interest for making the plots any better than they are. Please don’t stop writing this series, it’s the best!!!

Historia
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him. The haunt is on.

I only wish there was more haunting
Revisado: 04-24-24
Such an original story with warnings and learning lessons for women. Most of us have been on a dating site, I actually met my husband on one back in 2010 only after going out with a guy who left me at a restaurant and sat in the parking lot texting me while I decided to stay and have dinner with a lovely couple celebrating their anniversary. I had to have someone walk me out to my car to make sure he was gone. I just about called it quits and then met my husband, he was only the second person I dated from the site. Today, things are so much worse and scarier. This book fulfills all of the feelings you may have in life; excitement, disappointment, courage, loss and love. My only tiny gripe is I wanted much more haunting because it intimately felt more like ghosts stalking. I am not an author so my opinion shouldn’t affect anyone from spending a credit on this 5 star read.

Best One Yet!
Revisado: 04-17-24
I gave up on A Good Girl's Guide to Murder after the second book. I did not like how the series was going down a different path. All the good feels from book one were gone. However, TRORP is a perfect stand alone. The length of the book captured the story perfectly and Sophie Amoss is in my top ten for narrators. I figured out the twists but anxiously awaited to get there. 10 Stars!

The worst part of this book is that it ends!
Revisado: 01-18-24
Every single 5 star review is so richly deserved. Pure perfection all around. If there isn’t a plan to make a series out of this storyline and characters, it would be a damn shame. I always hate when I finish a great book, it feels like a sad breakup. It’s going to be hard to find another read to distract me from feeling the loss of these characters.

Ugh, Too Many Changes to list
Revisado: 12-26-23
I alternate between the light hearted cozy mysteries and the ones that generally turn into movies (more depth, more thriller, more suspense). I truly love the Hayley Powell series along with some other similar series. I can accept a new narrator, especially since audio books are becoming more and more popular, and narrators become booked up. This is not the case here. Randye doesn’t fit! Not only does she talk SO fast, Mona sounds like an 80 year old man. The endearing edge to Mona is completely gone, Sergio is bland, and every character has (literally) lost their voice. I’m sure Randye is perfect for the other books she narrates but I am not sure I can continue with this series. I have over 350 listens in my Audible library and I’m pretty open to listening to everyone, but lately my favorite series are switching narrators that are too jarring. I don’t know if authors understand how important it is to stick within the same ballpark when replacing narrators. You are loosing loyal listeners!!!! Just ugh, ugh, ugh!
