Historia
"Why aren't you angry?" people often asked Martin Moran after he told his story of how he came to forgive the man who sexually abused him as a boy. At first the question pissed him off. Then it began to haunt him. Why didn't he have more anger? Why had he never sought redress for the crime committed against him? Was his fury hidden, buried? Was he not man enough? Here he was, an adult in midlife, with an established acting career, a husband. A life. And yet the question of rage began to obsess him.

Beautifully Written, Brilliantly Read.
Revisado: 09-02-16
Martin Moran's personal and moving story is written and performed with heartfelt insight, and honest humor. (I did, in fact, laugh out loud at his knowing asides.)
By bravely speaking of his personal life, his observations--and questions--about rage, remorse and forgiveness in our social and political world, engage the listener. Neither a sad nor angry tale, but an entertaining and informative exploration into "What if ..." and "How would ...". (With a sprinkling of showbiz too.)

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Great book. Great audio.
Revisado: 06-07-16
Excellent. Be prepared, there are detailed sections that are not as "entertaining;" the sort of thing, if you were reading a hard copy, you might skim and take at face value (unless it was important to you to check the author's math.)
The rest, however, is more than worth it. Entertaining story. Clever, funny, ingenious, and realistic. Fully wrought, likable characters by Mr. Weir, fully rendered by R.C. Bray. A great read.
