Suprised to see it take this route but sad to wait for the continuation of the series. At first the book felt short and like it was not going to live up to the hype I had for it. But it delivered and then some for me.

still love the story but new narrators kill books.

Absolutely love this series, and started it with audiobooks. So I can't properly explain how infuriating it is to not have a consistent voice actor. I'm not knocking this one but the lack of consistency between character mannerisms and sounds is jarring to say the least. To me it makes me consider just reading the rest of the series because it's so good I can't give it up entirely.

having eccentric characters is cool but....

In a very "serious" situation it is incredibly immersion breaking when a character has what they were going to swear replaced with an innocuous word. It comes off as childish and subtracts from the real seeming world that is being created and told. Over and over it keeps happening and is quite disruptive. Other than that it is a fantastic story and is quite enjoyable to ride along for.

All in all, it seems easy enough to Will, it's not like he'll be fighting in any wars, or traveling across the infinite on a strange quest after all.

loved the book series but "swallows" is killing me

The editing on the audio is below average. I understand that talking for a long time is taxing and water is needed. But GOD DAMN this man's swallowing sound is obnoxious. I hope that at some point some better audio editing goes on here. The book however was enjoyable and I look forward to more.
