Historia
"Call me Ishmael." Thus starts the greatest American novel. Melville said himself that he wanted to write "a mighty book about a mighty theme" and so he did. It is a story of one man's obsessive revenge-journey against the white whale, Moby-Dick, who injured him in an earlier meeting. Woven into the story of the last journey of The Pequod is a mesh of philosophy, rumination, religion, history, and a mass of information about whaling through the ages.

Cliff notes may be best

The narrator of the audiobook does an excellent job. This book is beautifully written and the story itself has a lot of foreshadowing and humor. The problem is that every other chapter is a lecture on the biology and physiology of whales. If it was just the story I would have loved it but listening to every anatomical part of a whale and their different genus and species was a little more than I had anticipated

The n word was kind of disturbing but the story itself is so genuine and sincere in the mind of a boy. It will make you laugh and cry.
