Inspiring and fresh! Best book of the year so far for me
Revisado: 04-13-25
This book by Mitchell Weisburgh is more than just informative; it's truly transformative. The prelude effectively sets the stage for the author's perspective, leading into an accessible explanation of brain function that resonated with me as an adult in a way it hadn't in my younger years. Understanding the brain's role in our choices was a revelation, and Weisburgh masterfully shows how to harness this knowledge for personal empowerment. The practical tips he offers are nothing short of brilliant, and I can honestly say that integrating his mind-shifting practices has already had a positive impact on my life. If you're looking for a book that offers both understanding and actionable strategies for improvement, look no further.

Historia
Developing and implementing a strategy is the central task of a leader. A good strategy is a specific and coherent response to - and approach for - overcoming the obstacles to progress. A good strategy works by harnessing and applying power where it will have the greatest effect. Yet, Rumelt shows that there has been a growing and unfortunate tendency to equate Mom-and-apple-pie values, fluffy packages of buzzwords, motivational slogans, and financial goals with “strategy”.

The most boring strategy book ever
Revisado: 03-30-24
Very old school. Not recommended. All examples are really outdated. Also, most examples are from very jig companies and corps. Not inspiring at all, I suffered but got to the end.

Just okay - the first half was almost insufferable
Revisado: 04-09-23
This book featured some interesting nuggets near the end, but the beginning was almost intolerable. The examples were cliché and preachy. IMHO, skip this book.

Not sure why it took me so long to listen to this, but I’m glad I finally did. The book is a classic, and now I understand why.
