Historia
When Luca Ward was five years old, he swore he would love Imre Claybourne forever. Years later, when Luca finds himself shipped off to Imre's North Yorkshire goat farm in disgrace, long-buried feelings flare back to life. The lines around Imre's eyes may be deeper, the once-black night of his hair silvered to steel and stone . . . but he's still the same slow-moving mountain of a man whose quiet-spoken warmth, gentle hands, and deep ties to his Roma heritage have always, to Luca, meant home. The problem? Imre is more than twice Luca's age. And Luca's father's best friend.

I have mixed feelings
Revisado: 10-29-24
I did not enjoy this book. I do not think I was the target audience. It’s very wordy, not much conflict outside of MC stubbornness and pride. This book took “slow burn” as a personal challenge. And once things finally started heating up, it wasn’t worth the wait for me. At some point, I started hate reading it just to see how it would end. I finished and I still stand firm that I did Not enjoy this book.
Here is where this book is different from other books that I hate read or didn’t enjoy: it was very well written. This is one of those novels I imagine very classy, sophisticated people read when they want romance. It was very eloquent and had lots of imagery. It focused on the development of their relationship over the course of a few months which could be seen as more realistic to some people.
Unfortunately when I read romance, I don’t want classy and sophisticated. I need something that makes me chase the dopamine. I need angst and plot and that just wasn’t this book. There were several times I zoned out while listening because they got way too introspective for too long. I’ve read other Cole McCade books that were more my speed so this threw me for a loop a bit.
The narrator was awesome though. I usually enjoy anything he reads

Historia
When a mishap completely turns Jackson’s life upside down, he has two options: Ignore the sweet email from the two subs looking for a master or take a leap of faith and see where it will lead them. Luckily for pups Sawyer and Cooper, Jackson takes that leap and discovers that love sometimes comes in unexpected packages. This boxed set contains the prequel to the series, the three main books in the series, and a bonus short where they take their first vacation as a family.

Sweet, lovable pups and their dirty master
Revisado: 09-30-24
I wasn’t able to leave a review on each book individually unless I bought all 3 so this is gonna be a long one:
Narrator: Kenneth Obi was fabulous as always. I’ll never not be amazed at his talent for different voices and I’m so sad we won’t get to hear him lend his voice to new characters and worlds anymore 🥺
Prequel and Book 1: 3.75/5
It started off very slow. Not “slow burn” slow. Just slow and repetitive. Many things were over stated and it took too long for the plot to move forward in my opinion. Like several chapters that covered only 1 or 2 days of activity. If this was suspense/thriller, I’d get it. But for a low-angst romance, it made it hard to keep my interest. I almost quit but I was just interested enough to persevere. I’m glad I did! Once they connected over the phone though, the rest of the book was FANTASTIC! The puppy play was so damn adorable and I love Cooper so much. I can’t tell if Sawyer is a bit of a hater or just overly anxious and caring about what others think, but his personality annoys me a little sometimes. Jackson started out a little judgy to me but it was rooted in ignorance and quickly took to the lifestyle after researching. These three seem to compliment each other well!
Book 2: 4.3/5
I loved everyone just a little bit more in this book! It kept my interest throughout despite it being low-angst. I got so into it, I barely noticed it was about to end. I’m super proud of Sawyer and how brave he was and Cooper is as lovable as ever. Jackson is so perfect for them and they’re perfect for him. The dirty talk was really good if you love praise kink (I fall on the other end of that spectrum 😈) overall, it’s super sweet but not so sweet that it’s unbelievable.
Book 3 and Orlando Short: 4.4/5
This series came to a sweet, if not predictable, end. I hoped the brief conflict that came up would add some angst, but it didn’t and was resolved quickly and without issue (boo 😔). The short at the end was a surprise but functions as an epilogue. Spice level here is about the same as the others.
The series overall: 4.15/5
I love reading about puppy play. The dynamics are always so sweet and give me the same joy I get from reading about littles/middles and their daddies. The overall plot was very low angst and I wish I had known that before starting. It wasn’t bad by any means. I just need the adrenaline that comes with high angst plots or impact scenes. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys low angst, BDSM- lite reads

Not bothering with the next book (mild spoilers)
Revisado: 08-25-24
Very boring. I listened on Audible and Iggy Toma was the only reason I bothered finishing it. Lincoln was annoying through most of the book. He was every bit of the coward Jacob called him. I did love that Jacob was confident and he had a kinda delightful personality. Better than Lincoln for sure. I think maybe I just don’t like the “we shouldn’t do this because of reasons that are so stupid, they don’t even matter” trope. I barely felt any chemistry between them. Sex scenes weren’t interesting and a few of them were closed door. Too much introspection kept the plot from progressing. The danger of their job was only apparent once in chapter 2 after a death and then again toward the end of the book. Not enough interest for me to bother with the rest of the series

I don’t want Jason Vega. Not at all. It’s the worst idea ever. Ah, hell... Jason is handsome. Smart. Dangerous. Hot. He’s goddamn gorgeous - but he’s also sleeping on the street, hanging out with the local biker gang, and selling his body for a living. Our lives, our paths, couldn’t be further apart. I’m crawling toward the light while he’s falling into the dark. But it doesn’t matter how different we are or what logic dictates.

Frustrating and not worth the money or credit
Revisado: 06-29-24
This was the most frustrating book I’ve read in a long time. I only finished because I spent the money on it and the Narrators were amazing. I love Iggy and Teddy’s work. It took approx 10 hours for the Mc’s to stop fighting and agree to be together. It was a bunch of meeting up for sex, one of them getting pissed at the other, and Jason leaving to go back to the streets. That went on for over 30 chapters! They spent more time in their own head than being present for actual conversation. The ending was so rushed and wrapped up in like 30 minutes. There are also some plot lines that didn’t get resolved. If all the back and forth was removed, this story could have been told in under 4 hours tops. This is the second book from this author that I’ve disliked. I won’t be giving them a third chance.

Historia
Living with four other guys, it's bound to happen. Every guy's been caught taking care of business at least once, right? It shouldn't be a big deal. But I don't know Eric as well as my other roommates, and things are a little awkward now. He's a loner. A mystery. Quietly confident. Smart. Sexy as hell. I've been happily subsisting on the typical frat guy diet of booze and sorority girls. But the way Eric looked at me that night? There was something there. Something that's got me curious. Something that's stirring up feelings I thought I'd left behind for good.

Revisado: 06-17-24
I’ve seen people rave about this book and it’s been recommended so many times. I didn’t realize it had like 90\10 smut to plot ratio. If that’s your thing, you may love this book. There just wasn’t enough build up and plot to make the love believable for me. Kirt Graves did great on the audible narration though.

Harley: What happens when the most successful boy band on the planet breaks up? How about 20,000 fans screaming my name. But the price of fame comes with an increased risk to my safety. I've been avoiding the dreaded B word for as long as I can, but after a close call with a rambunctious fan, I can't do it anymore. It's time to give in. I need to hire a full-time bodyguard. And when he shows up, he not only screams badass, he's another B word I try to stay away from: boyfriend material.

I wanted to hate him so bad but I couldn’t
Revisado: 05-31-24
I put this book off for months because I didn’t think Harley deserved a happy ending after how he treated Jet (I’m so very much in love with Jet 🥰) I resisted but my curiosity won out. I though he was gonna just be the annoying diva I knew him to be and I was so wrong. His and Jet’s relationship wasn’t what I thought it was and he did do right by Jet in the end so I got over it. That said, I love Harley and Brix. They are good together and they both have good hearts. I love the suspense that came with the book too! Hope the rest of the series is just as good. Also, Iggy Toma could read a phone book and I’d give it 5 stars. He makes me swoon

Well written but not well performed
Revisado: 04-14-24
This is such a good story with one of my favorite tropes! I loved both characters and am glad they found happiness. Truly a sweet story. The narrator did not do it justice. There was no emotion and I had to try really hard to feel it. I couldn’t feel the personalities in his voices. Even the flirty banter fell flat. Disappointing. I likely won’t choose another book with this narrator

Everyone approaches BDSM in their own way. Brothers Garrett, Brent, Grant, and Bryce are no different. While each are involved in the BDSM scene in some way, what they want varies. Dominants, submissives, and switches, get to know them as they find love and explore who they are and what they need.

Kinda disappointed
Revisado: 04-09-24
Of all the BDSM books I’ve read, this one was the most vanilla. I had higher expectations. Aside from the kink aspect, all the relationships seemed too easy. I wanted magnetic attractions and these were all proximity relationships tbh. There were crushes but nothing that made me want to fall in love. Very little conflict. It’s not bad if you like low angst, BDSM Lite though

I’ve been stressed out for days!
Revisado: 03-18-24
I’ve finally come to the end of this series and WHEW BOY did it stress me out. I know I was looking for a romantic suspense but this series knocked the genre out of the park. There was so much going on. I was paranoid about everyone being a traitor and was almost certain no one would get an HEA. I finally got put out of my misery at the end thankfully. I loved this series BUT IF I EVER HAVE TO HEAR THE WORD SOUL AGAIN I WILL CLAW MY EYES OUT! It was way over used. There were 110 instances of the word “soul” in this book alone. The other two books had almost as many instances. That’s my biggest complaint

Spent most of the book irritated
Revisado: 02-26-24
Most of the characters are very unlikable to me. It took way too long for them to become redeemable. The first 3 chapters hooked me. I was insanely bored all the way until chapter 22. The remainder of the book was good. I saw it had so many great reviews and stuck it out because I wanted to see what everyone else did and I just didn’t. This was the second disappointing title from this author so I’m sadly not giving a third book a try.
