Historia
Hated and hailed, excoriated and revered, Abraham Lincoln was at the pinnacle of American power when secessionists gave no quarter in a clash of visions bound up with money, race, identity, and faith. In him we can see the possibilities of the presidency as well as its limitations. This book tells the story of Lincoln from his birth on the Kentucky frontier to his leadership during the Civil War to his tragic assassination: his rise, his self-education, his loves, his bouts of depression, his political failures, his deepening faith, and his persistent conviction that slavery must end.

I am amazed by the faithful insight and dedication to liberty for all humans. I hope our nation will read this story and dedicate ourselves to “justice for all.”

Historia
Jim Gash's comfortable life as a Los Angeles lawyer and law professor nearly ensured that he and Henry, a Ugandan boy languishing in prison for two murders he didn't commit, would never meet. Henry was losing hope and prayed for a sign from God. Halfway around the world, Jim listened to best-selling author of Love Does Bob Goff encourage lawyers to use their legal training to help imprisoned children in Africa. Jim felt an irresistible urge to respond to this call.

Remarkable story of sacrifice, dedication and love
Revisado: 09-20-16
The overall story of Jim Gash, California lawyer, and Henry, Ugandan teen accused of murder, breaks your heart but also gives you hope. It is a "page turner" of a book and a story full of emotion and faith that is narrated excellently- high performance. I highly recommend this book to people of all ages who are interested in real stories from a third world country that show caring compassion by American lawyers. The love of Christ is evident in this story.

Historia
Winner of the 1982 National Book Award for Biography, Mornings on Horseback is the brilliant biography of the young Theodore Roosevelt. Hailed as a masterpiece by Newsday, it is the story of a remarkable little boy -- seriously handicapped by recurrent and nearly fatal attacks of asthma -- and his struggle to manhood.

An invigorating family
Revisado: 01-26-15
On my version the narrator could be heard "taking breaths" or opening his mouth. This was a bit
distracting. His telling or reading of the story was very good except for this one element.
