What's with the Over-Enunciaton?
Revisado: 01-27-25
Terrible narration! The narrator decided to overemphasize, every single, unnecessary word, and I mean every single word. Why the need to put stress on the word 'summery'? Why? Just why? I had to stop listening. It was distracting and took away from what has been one of my favorite stories. The narrator ruined my favorite Jackie Collins novel. Guess I'll stick with the Kindle edition.

Why are the episodes titled in English when the entire show is in ANOTHER LANGUAGE!
Hugely false advertising.
I'd give it a zero if I could.

So Excruciatingly Boring
Revisado: 11-15-22
Why waste so much time hashing out boring marital squabble? It caused the rest of the show to drag.
Pity, seemed like an interesting topic.
But I felt myself physically cringe every time he and his wife started up.

Historia
What if you could travel back in time 100 years and right the wrongs of the past—would you take the risk? “Sundown: A Time Travel Society Mystery” is a wildly imaginative podcast from Michael Dante DiMartino, the co-creator of the animated classics “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra.” “Sundown” explores the story of a group of teens who go back into the past and uncover secrets about themselves, their families, their town—and America. 17-year-old Darius Hightower (played by Emmy-nominated actor Asante Blackk of “When They See Us”) is just about the only Black person in his small New England town of Norhaven. Adopted by a wealthy white family when he was a baby, Darius has learned to keep his head down and not challenge his family or its history. But when the outspoken Sanaa Starr (played by NAACP Image Award-winner Storm Reid of “Euphoria”) transfers to his high school and starts asking questions, Darius re-examines the truth about his ancestors’ involvement in the town’s most infamous murder. A time capsule from 1920 may hold some clues, but when Norhaven’s most powerful conspire to destroy its contents, it’s up to Darius, Sanaa, and their friends (including “Reservation Dogs” star Devery Jacobs) to investigate what really happened. After a strange incident sends them back 100 years to the scene of the crime, their fact-finding mission becomes life-or-death. Forced to confront their town’s prejudiced past, the teens race against time in order save an innocent man’s life and clear his name. “Sundown” is a sci-fi mystery adventure like you’ve never heard before.

This is a Show You DO NOT want to miss
Revisado: 11-08-22
If there is only ONE audio dramas you've got the time to listen to, you will never regret choosing this one.
Phenomenal story telling, incredible acting, and just over all amazing world building, across three different timelines.
Started listening on a whim, and I could not stop until I reached the end, and finally discovered who killed Margaret Hightower.

Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

Bad, Silly and Just Plain Meaningless
Revisado: 09-28-22
It started with a somewhat interesting premise and with so many big names I thought I'd give it a shot.
Full disclosure, it is entertaining. but in a bad kind of way, like watching a bad paint job dry, so you can see what pattern the messy strokes will take. But ultimately it was just bad.
It made no sense. Every character, was half idiot, half moron, making decisions and coming to conclusions that made NO sense.
And in the end, the baby was born ... ok, so what? what is the point? Nothing. Just silly.

Story might have been good, but...
Revisado: 03-25-22
The premise of the show seemed interesting. But it was impossible to understand without proper visuals. The characters all sound EXACTLY alike. The dialogue is WAY too clichéd for an audio drama, it leaves no impact whatsoever.
I had to stop listening after two and a half episodes.
A pity really, the show seems cool. But I was getting bogged down and confused.

Historia
Robert Caro's monumental book makes public what few outsiders knew: that Robert Moses was the single most powerful man of his time in the City and in the State of New York. And in telling the Moses story, Caro both opens up to an unprecedented degree the way in which politics really happens—the way things really get done in America's City Halls and Statehouses—and brings to light a bonanza of vital information about such national figures as Alfred E. Smith and Franklin D. Roosevelt (and the genesis of their blood feud), about Fiorello La Guardia, John V. Lindsay and Nelson Rockefeller.

Loved the book and the Narration, HATED R.M
Revisado: 01-25-22
Great book.
Perfectly narrated, evocative and deep felt about a horrible horrible man!
The best part came at the end, the fall of Robert Moses. Yes, R.M did a lot of good for the city, but he also caused irreparable harm.
Incredible book though.
