The hawking of merch and personal services is a bit over the top, but there is insightful information here as well.

Historia
Your Soul's Plan (which was originally published under the title Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?) explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, before we are born for the purpose of spiritual growth. Through compelling profiles of people who knowingly planned the experiences mentioned above, Your Soul's Plan shows that suffering is not purposeless, but rather imbued with deep meaning.

Not well served by halting, overly-emoted reading
Revisado: 11-03-22
Sounds like a kindergarten teacher reading to a bunch of five-year-olds, making sure to EMPHASIZE the important WORDS so we don’t MISS anything. Or a comic book with some words in BOLD because we might not get it, otherwise. I’m assuming we’re mostly adults here. Just read what’s on the page and give us some credit. I bought the hardcopy paperback and plan to use it as a reference. There are some excellent one-liners and insightful ideas there, sans the dramatic over-reading.

Historia
We are not alone in this vast universe. Celestial beings that are not from this world can be beckoned by us anytime we wish to. Through the art of lucid dreaming, being consciously aware within our dreams, we can step through a portal within our minds and contact these very beings. They are waiting for us to make that conscious connection. They bring nothing but guidance, love and admiration for us all. Their wish is to nurture and help us grow our consciousness so that we can evolve into the divine beings we are destined to be.

Good book. Play it at 1.2x or 1.5x
Revisado: 02-24-22
This is a valuable contribution to the genre, but 10 seconds into the Audible version, I thought “Uh Oh!” It is always unfortunate when good material is co-opted by poor narration. In this case, pseudo-dramatic, slow, drawn out, draggy… Still, rather than throw the baby out with the bathwater, I decided to try playing it back at 1.2x speed, and actually ended up listening at 1.5x speed, which is completely intelligible and moves along at a more reasonable clip. This also cuts down the overall time of the audible book from four hours and something to two hours and something.

Historia
Two internationally known spiritual guides explore integrating our inner and outer journeys. They challenge us to confront our inner and social violence and bring it to healing and transformation in a sacred and ecumenical context. Rohr and Keating each give insights on awakening to God's friendship, coming to know God and ourselves, growing in love through centering prayer, facing evil around us and our demons within us as well as opening our deep selves to divine therapy which heals our wounds.
