Love the series

I love the way the author paints a picture of the land in my mind. They characters are very detailed also. The only complaint I have is the author always using the phrases “treasonous body” and “traitorous body” even though the Rory and Jase already worked things out in the last book, the author still found a way to add it to this one.

Love the book and glad to know what really happened. I’m just confused about something. I thought Anna was black. She is in the first cover but this cover and the cover for the next book, both have a girl that isn’t black.

Why this narrator?

I liked the story but was hard to pay attention to the narrator. I found myself rewinding all the time. The issue for me is the protagonist is a young black female and the narrator is an old white lady, even the dialogue falls short.
