Indira Varma made me fall in love with these characters yet again! Everyone was portrayed in a manner that honored their character rather than rendering each caricatures (I’m talking to all of you doing the shrillest Mrs. Bennet voices for no reason). A las, another reread and yet it’s as if I’ve never read it!

Portia is My Favorite Romance Character PERIODT!

I’m on what’s most likely my 5th full re-listen, I actually think it’s more like 10th or so I just don’t remember because I listen to this book like it’s one of my favorite albums. This is because I ADORE this book, and especially this audiobook. Karen Chilton is also a favorite narrator of mine, and I think she does an incredible job here bringing Portia to life in Scotland. There’s so much to love about this book; from the hilarious meet cute, the refreshing enemies to lovers set up, the random regency historom-ish setting, and all of the side characters. For me, the heart of this story is Portia. She’s a beloved character, one I wish so revisit often. I think it’s because I relate to so many of the emotional struggles she faces with herself, her family, and her career. I will always recommended this series, but especially this book!

Domestic & Sweet As Hell

Really loved Joia's story for the classy reality TV-esque vibes it brought. Apparently influencers are not running around being messy like the reality TV girls so maybe I'll start following a Joia-like influencer. This was a sweet & medium levels of dramatic follow up to Jaclyn's story. I love that we got a lot more Love Sisters hanging out and being supportive of each other. Teddy and his therapy going ass are also love interest goals. Can't wait for Jemma's story!

Alyssa does it again!

Alyssa Cole is a national treasure who must be protected at all costs! Lol what a captivating and innovative blend of sci-fi and romance! I loved this story and all the characters. It had all the heart and hotness of a classic Alyssa Cole love story with excellent sci-fi twists and turns. I also loved hearing Regina's reading of Trinity.

Short & Sweet!

My favorite Christine C. Jones so far! Jaclyn is hilarious and such a bad bitch omggg She doesn't have any time for the bullshit and I so appreciate a novel where a black woman just owns her voice and embodies who she is fully. She worked hard to get to that point and I loved to see it. Kadan is hot shit and because of that I saw him as Nathan from Insecure. Listen to this it's a guaranteed heap of sweet, sexy hilarity!

Another lovely dive into a secondary character from the Reluctant Royals series. Both characters are interesting, complex, stubborn yet willing to be vulnerable. A lovely vignette of two women in love finding their way back to each other while doing weird NYC things in the winter.
