Und im Urlaubsparadies wurden Pizza und Espresso misstrauisch beäugt.

Auch die halbjährige Sendepause hat nichts daran geändert: Sie sind und bleiben ein Traumpaar. Keiner passt so gut zu Emmi wie Leo. Keine pariert Leos Ausweichmanöver so schlagfertig wie Emmi. Eine perfekte Beziehung. Wenn sie nicht einen Makel hätte: die beiden haben schriftlich Millionen von Wörtern gewechselt - zärtlich, werbend, barsch, schwärmend, hochfliegend, traurig. Aber sie haben sich noch nie gesehen.

How could the performance have been better?
I did not like the Italian accent in English as the original is in Italian. However, Italian words and titles should have been pronounced properly, i.e. ispectore and vice questore

At the top. Really enjoyed the book and I loved the way it was read, accents and all
What other book might you compare Cutting for Stone to and why?
mostly murder mysteries. Some were not well read. I disliked the faked accents in some.

can't say. The book requires a more detailed analysis and was discussed in my book club
