I usually do not write reviews but decided that I would on this book. I almost didn’t purchase this book because of a review that said formulative and not very good. I have to disagree and wanted to say I enjoyed the story and the characters and did not find it overly formulated. Maybe the reviewer was referring to the Happy Ending. ( the very reason I buy these books. I want happy.

So if your on the fence, I would say give it a go if you like Texas, football and strong women. This book is a great Saturday afternoon read.

Extremely witty and perfectly paced.

I love historical romance. I love most genres,actually. Contemporary to paranormal to biographies. So as I began this book I had just finished a different type of book entirely and was not tuned in to the writers voice. “I liked the narrators voice too “ but I am speaking of the authors conception of time and place as the story unfolded. I almost put the book away and moved on how glad I am that I didn’t. I began the book in a distracted way and honestly wasn’t working by to listen but rather had it in the background of something else I was doing. I found my self laughing at an exchange between the two main characters and realized the banter was not mean spirited as must as it was revealing the unique personalities of the people and most importantly their stations!
I really enjoyed the book once I actively got into the story. I laughed and cried though the telling and enjoyed the language and diction. It’s a relaxed but dear meet and fall in love story.

I enjoyed the listen. But the two main characters had a bit of an unbelievable connection. Over all I liked the mix of stories and, as always, Kristen Ashley's story telling. She is an automatic download for me.

Credit worthy. West is back on track

I thoroughly enjoyed Preacher I almost did not download because the last few books by this author were rather disappointing and dark. I loved this book as much as I loved Shooter. Download it you will not be disappointed. The characters are well-developed and easy to route for and love

Surprisingly different, yet perfectly in the genre.

I had this book in my wish list for almost 8 months before I ordered and listened to it. I can't remember why originally I placed the book in the wish list but obviously something struck me. I should have just read it immediately. So that is my recommendation to you. You will enjoy the book. I loved the characters even though one seemed too hateful to love at first. If you like historical romance with intrigue you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
