The twists and turns. Kept my interest throughout. Lots of these Audible Originals have such loud background noise that you can’t appreciate the dialogue. This did not. Thanks.

Historia
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

This snd most of the Audible Originals make the background noise so loud I annoy hear the dialogue. I get it you want it to sound realistic but the sound mix is terrible.

You were married to Carly Simon, had 2 children with her, were unfaithful and an addict and you don’t even mention your relationship with her. I don’t think you’ve grown up yet.

Historia
The media have descended on Garrett Island, a small, isolated community that is the setting of a visionary experiment. All the residents’ cars were sent to the mainland and for the past month the islanders have been “driving” the Arrival, a revolutionary autonomous vehicle. With a simple voice command, an Arrival will take you wherever you want to go and, because the fleet is networked and aware of one another, car travel is now 100% safe. The future, it seems, has arrived.

Predictable
Revisado: 06-22-24
Not as gripping as most of his books and seemed mostly predictable by the end but too unlikely the characters figured things out out so easily and too many coincidences to be believable

The long-awaited sequel to Time and Again . Si Morley is back and the world may never be the same. When Time and Again was published in 1970, it immediately developed a loyal following that has grown with each passing year. With this book, Jack Finney returned to the same magical territory and finds Ruben Prien still at work with the Project, still dreaming of altering man's fate by going back in time to adjust events... to interfere, some might say, with destiny.

Great book even if not as great as others in series
Revisado: 10-07-23
Good to return to Kingsbridge and holding my breath as the evil characters show their stuff. But worth it to celebrate the true goodness of the hero’s. Thought the end was too superficial and rushed to come to an upbeat conclusion. Not enough drama as it happened

It’s the fifteenth century and only heretics are curious about the universe. Germany, 1494. Born under a rare alignment of the stars, Johann Georg Gerlach, "the lucky one" to his mother - is fated for greatness. But Johann’s studies and wonder at the sky have made him suspect. I was curious what would be told of Faust but this book was too gruesome to continue beyond less than half way and I feel like I should have given up sooner.
