Historia
Attention deficit disorder (ADD) is a national health crisis that continues to grow - yet it remains one of the most misunderstood and incorrectly treated illnesses today. Neuropsychiatrist Daniel G. Amen, MD was one of the first to identify that there are multiple types beyond just purely hyperactive or inattentive ADD, each requiring a different treatment. Now, in this all-new, revised edition, Dr. Amen again employs the latest medical advances in the field, including the largest brain imaging study ever completed on patients with ADD.

Good book about ADD, but too much advertising
Revisado: 01-19-23
Good book about ADD, but too much advertising for Doctor's clinics. It should be more focused on all these different types of ADD, and how to distinguish them from each other. Rest of the book I enjoyed to listen to.

Historia
This history of modern Iran is not a survey in the conventional sense but an ambitious exploration of the story of a nation. It offers a revealing look at how events, people, and institutions are shaped by currents that sometimes reach back hundreds of years. The book covers the complex history of the diverse societies and economies of Iran against the background of dynastic changes, revolutions, civil wars, foreign occupation, and the rise of the Islamic Republic.

Historia
One of the most shocking things about the Persians is how quickly they went from an obscure, powerless, and nomadic tribe to an immense empire that spanned across western Asia, Africa, and parts of Europe. The rise of Cyrus the great, considered the father of Persia, in the seventh century BCE, filled the power vacuum caused by the fall of the Assyrians, and it led to the formation of one of the most powerful empires of the ancient world.

Fantastic history!
Revisado: 06-24-22
Great book that anyone interested in understanding our current political challenges should read/listen to.
But the narrator! Far from good enough. A narrator should get better familiar with the names and some of the key foreign words, else it is very disturbing; As it is in this audio book. I hope that a new edition can be sent out soon when the narrator has educated himself.
Then I will give this book as a good present to many people I care about.

Godt indhold men primitiv lydbog
Revisado: 02-21-21
Den lydbog er opbygget meget primitivt. Ingen titler, beskrivelser. Svært at finde rundt i.

Interesting course, but strange. Can the word strange describe a history book, speech and course? Maybe not, but I still can't find a better word, as Im still somehow in doubt how I could and should summarize my experience with this study.Professor John Lee insist that Persia and Iran are two different and separate things, but the whole history starts in Pars and Susa and Ilam, places and people which have always been a part of Iran; The Persia. The professor refers to all the tablets and other historical texts found in Babylon as the arguments for his story, when babylon was a part of Persia, but denies (and not only questions) the value of Cyrus' cylinder describing the human rights when he conquered the Babylon. He simply judges it as propaganda. However when he describes how Persian kings ruled the empire and how Persian people lived, he constantly confirms its validity. So interesting story, and definitely worth to listen to, but if it is a pure objective history book, without any political or personal motivation, I'm not sure.I will continue with my study about Persian history, as this course left me many questions and doubts. And indeed made me much more curious.

The breakdown of Europe's Eastern Bloc proves that the map of Europe cannot be redrawn merely to serve political ends. Perhaps no country illustrates this more clearly than Poland, whose borders often have been a negotiating tool of the Big Powers. These presentations enlighten our understanding of the current drama in Eastern Europe.

Good and entertaining history audio book. The idea of having different people and voices is really great. But why do people talk with such a crazy and stupid accent? It is not only difficult to understand what is being said, some times, but also very irritating. What is the point?
